Recreational Drug Use (1 Viewer)

What would you consider bad on this list recreationally?

Weed

Alcohol

Tobacco

Percocet

LSD

Cocaine

Xanax

MDMA

Mushrooms
Percocent, Cigs, LSD, Coke, Xanax, Shrooms, MDMA (saying this cause I dont know what it is).

Anything addictive as recreational use isnt a real bright idea.

I will let alcohol slide cause basically everyone drinks SOME alcohol and it would make you a weird outcast if you didnt.

Weed is fine, but if its costing you your job with drugs tests, then clearly it isnt.

Also might depend on how you define "bad" and how often you mean by "recreationally".

If you and your buddies snort up a small line of coke once a year for some special occasion, and actually stuck to just that, then whatever. Problem is you likely wont

I think you're greatly overestimating the addictiveness of cocaine.

Ummmm, in what way? I didnt even say anything about how addictive it is. I just said you likely won't stick to just that same amount for the once a year. Why?? Cause the vast majority do NOT, that's why.

Doesnt mean everyone is going to be addicted, but it's likely there is gonna be a tiny bit more used than just that one little snort per year. Maybe YOU personally can stop yourself at the tiny line per year. Good for you. Most will not. Can they???? Who knows or cares, they just don't.

Ok, didn't realize you knew everything already.

I'm sorry, it's just the coke talking.

Bunch of squares around here.
I would agree...................unfortunately can't really comment with much seriousness until someone lays down some groundrules for what "recreational" means. Once a day, week, month, year??????

It seems there are likely to be a bunch of "recreational drug users" in this thread, so I suppose you fellas oughta throw out your drug schedules for us to determine if you are "ok".

Depends on the person. I've seen all the above play a significant role in negatively affecting someone's life. I also know plently of people who have been able to succeed while being weekend warriors.

Bad as in bad for you or bad as in not fun?

From that list I only drink alcohol. Percocet - eh, I'll use if prescribed. Weed I may try one day I it becomes legal in my state but the rest I have no desire to even try.

A lot of those drugs go really well together. For example weed is best IMO after you're good and drunk. And Xanax is awesome for coming down from a coke or ecstasy high.

Some drugs are best for certain situations, like shrooms/LSD at a concert. And nothing beats a Percocet for those lazy afternoons watching TV.

Tobacco is the worst on the list because the high isn't worth the addictiveness potential, high cost, long term health effects, etc.

Yeah, you're way off here.

I think lots of people do coke just on special occasions. Sometimes you just want to treat yourself, like going to a fine steakhouse or having chocolate cake on your birthday.

This guy understands "recreational" drug use perfectly.

That being said, I've lost all desire to fool with everything but booze and occasional grass. Oh, and F'ing cigarettes. I quit for months at a time, but always find my way back. Those little delicious sons of #####es are brutally addictive.

All those things are fine in moderation. One of the finer things in life is popping a percocet, rolling up a joint, pour yourself a stiff bourbon, and reading a good book all day.

What does "bad" mean? In what context? For me? For society in general?

I don't have a problem with things that are bad being legal. I don't know from experience, but I tend to beieve the concept of addiction is overblown. The probability of someone being addicted to any particular drug is much lower than we've been led to believe. Comorbidity of drug use and mental issues is something that is ignored too often.

Let's hope the guy bringing the coke for the once a year blowout brings more than a tiny little line for everyone, but old dudes getting away from the kids once a year isn't going to become an increasing tolerance issue.
