Redskins... 2 WRs and a TE in the 2nd Rd (1 Viewer)

I like all the picks. Great weapons for Campbell. And clearly Zorn is having a say with the team's direction. I like that.

Sort of reminds me of the Arizona Cardinals a few years back. Kelly could easily be the better player.

I am a bit surprised. The way this turned out, I am guessing that Kelly and Davis were players the Redskins really wanted. Especially Kelly, since you wouldn't take a wr you are iffy about after getting Thomas.

bump for Campbell?
If the 'Skins can go 4 wide with 2 TEs and a RB, sure. Otherwise, :shrug:Unless some of these guys are trade bait, who do they sit and who do they play? Until you can figure that out I don't know that you can significantly bump Campbell, if at all.

Remember, it is rare for a wr to just come in a produce immediately, especially with the complex west coast offense. The need to get some big wrs in and look to the future. Don't forget the 3rd wr rule. I don't mind the picks that much; however I am a little surprised about Fred Davis. The skins already have Cooley. But the Skins definitely need wr help. No touchdowns by a wr until 2/3 of the season was over? Plus they have a lot of picks left in the 3-7 rounds.

I'd bump Campbell for dynasty leagues, I agree you have to wait for the lineups for redraft. With 3 second rounders, getting a top TE would be a nice move for a team that is pretty much set like the Colts but IMO the Redskins had other needs. As long as there's no contract or injury worries with Cooley(that we don't know about) then this is someone they "fell in love with". We've seen plenty of those type picks do great and flop so it'll be interesting to see.

Most teams carry 5-6 WR's and 3-4 TE's. What's the problem here?

They have a huge array of personnel packages that they can work into the game depending upon game situation. For example, in the red zone you can have:

Moss

Thomas/Kelly

Davis

Cooley

Portis

or

Moss

Thomas

Kelly

Cooley

Portis

In the middle of the field you can have:

Moss

Thomas/Kelly

Randle-El (he is after all really a slot receiver, not a WR2)

Cooley

Portis

And you can keep Moss fresh (his legs have been his problem in recent years) by rotating guys in and out.

Those rookie WR's are supposed to be good run blockers too, right?

No they don't, not in the regular season. Maybe if you count a PS guy but not on the roster.4-5, 2-3 TEs often times opposite 7 like 4 WRs and 3 TEs or 5 WRs and 2 TEs.In your scenario, what percent of their roster is on 3 starting positions then?
