It was against that rule, but that rule is really stupid when combined with other rules. If you can't hit high or low, you're going to land on the guy when you tackle properly.

Yet they got the three and out...that wasn’t an awful call not to go for it given how inept Wash had been on offense late in this game (a four WRs and TEs dropping balls)

No, it was an awful call regardless of the 3 and out.
Washington can effectively end the game with 3 first downs. It doesn't matter where they start with the ball if they only need 3 first downs to win. Furthermore, Green Bay is down 11, so if Washington gets into FG range it's still only a 2 score game.
Terrible call in terms of win probability.

Jesus H Christ, all the calls the Packers have gotten from the refs by virtue of 25 years of HOF quarterbacks, and their fans go ape #### when a call goes against them.

Skins fan, but I seriously feel bad for Matthews. Two terrible game-changing calls in back to back weeks. I can't imagine how frustrated he must be right now.

It's pretty pathetic how they didn't call the sack on Rodgers earlier which was way worse that the Clay sack. I defended that at the time, because it's football for Christs sake. But after they threw that flag on Matthews and how they didn't throw a flag earlier, is just ridiculously pathetic. Both QBs had the ball which makes them runners, both were good solid football plays.
This is such bull#### and #### I don't want to watch anymore

Pretty stupid to make that argument. A penalty was called on a Cowboy for a sack of Russell Wilson in the 1st quarter of the Cowboys/Seahawks game today, and it was identical to the one on Matthews. Take a look at the film if you don't believe me.
Complaining about the rule itself is one thing. Saying it unfairly screws the Packers is just whining.
