RedZone w/out Sunday Ticket (DirectTV) (1 Viewer)

Anyone know if it is possible (even with persistent) if you can get Direct TV to provide Red Zone without having to pay for Sunday Ticket especially being a long term (10+ year) subscriber?

Thanks in advance!

I was able to casty phone to a Chromecast connected to my TV with no problem. Unfortunately I don't have Verizon anymore, so not an option for me.

I feel like it got harder after the ATT merger.  Just got sick of doing this dance every year.  Sling is a much easier option for RedZone/Soccer for me.
The ATT merger just messed it to all heck. We have DirecTV at our house and are kind of trying to figure out how to do it, but are a bit resigned to just paying freight and sucking it up for a few more years. I agree that Sling would be a great option if all the OP really wants is RedZone.

I was DTV until last season when they wouldn't budge at all on Sunday Ticket despite being with them for ~15 years.  Threatened to cancel and the whole bit, then decided I had had enough of their BS and followed through.  I am now with PS Vue and I have Red Zone as well as a cheaper, better product overall.

That is the other thing.  RedZone with Scott Hansen is a lot better than the DirecTV version

Know anyone currently in college?  "They" can do the entire Sunday Ticket streaming for $80 a year, which I believe includes Red Zone (it has in year's past).  I buy it for my cousin in college every year, and she's still yet to come to my house on Sunday to watch games....

Does this have any sort of location/access restrictions?  Meaning, does it work for me at home if the college student is in another state hundreds of miles away?

Don't see why it wouldn't - but the two college students I've bought this deal for a few times over have all been in my state.  You get a user name and a password....but the app works on the PS3/4, xbox, iphone, computers.....and so on.

Now that AT&T took over DirecTV, they simply do not give a crap about long-term customers (new customers can get Sunday Ticket for free--long-time customers get squat). I have had DirecTV for 17 years. I had the Sunday Ticket for years but last year I decided to see what I could "re-negotiate." Eventually I got a person who gave me (for free !) just the Red Zone channel (Andrew Siciliano has the largest ears of any person on television...ever !) but they specifically said it was a one time thing. I just called them last night as a matter of fact and tried to work my way up the chain to see if I could do it again. No dice. They will only offer Red Zone if you get the Sunday Ticket plus package. The basic package gets you all the games. The plus package gets you all the games, plus the Fantasy channel and the Red Zone channel. BUT, the cost for the "plus" is more than $100 more than for just the games.

+1, exact same scenario
