Reggie Bush being misused (1 Viewer)

Is Reggie Bush being misused this season for the Saints?

Last year he was used mostly with Deuce in the backfield and him either split out or in the backfield with Deuce.

I am beginning to worry that the Saints have decided to get Bush the ball more and are sometimes forgetting why they were so good a year ago.

I know some of the Saints problems this year have been on defense but the offense seems lost.

The offensive line looks "confused" at this point. Will they get it together and gel as a unit, probably, but how long will it take and how far out will the Saints be when they finally become a cohesive unit?

Give them a few weeks to figure things out, but did anybody expect them to give Bush the ball less this year? They gotta figure out if they can let Deuce go and let him carry more of the load.

Similar to the Chargers, they came out flat. I haven't changed my FF hopes for players on either team. I'd even try to trade for some if their value has dipped.

From what I have seen of the Saints, they are getting too cute, trying to find all kids of ways to get the ball to Reggie. There is nothing wrong with pounding it, tossong it deep to Colston, then finding Reffie in space.

didn't see yesterdays game with the bucs but the game with indy their offensive line was just flat out man handled. it's very hard to run or throw for that matter if you have no holes or time.

as far as throwing the ball again in the indy seemed they didn't stretch the field...all passes were dink and dunk.

sure hope they figure something out as i drafted bush at 1.11....i'm 1-1 at this point but i need bush to start scoring.

speaking of the Chargers and Saints, YEAH they better figure things out soon, i own LT and traded for Bush ................................ :$

Wait don't draw any conclusions. It's too early to tell, Reggie just needs a few more carries.

10 Carries for 27 yards. Move over Walter, make room for Reggie.

:sarcasm:

Two fumbles [fortunately for New Orleans with no turnovers]

And a 15 yard Personal Foul penalty.

Now that's a quality performance for you. Just keep telling yourself that he will eventually be a first string NFL RB. Maybe someday it will happen ... while you are at, you might as well pray for World peace.

Well after 2 weeks the results are in. The answer is no.

so what would you expect out of Deuce and Bush this year ? I have someone in my league talking to me about trading for Cedric Benson for one of them. Problem is I already have Brees and Colston. Will the Saints get their act together or are they the bust team of the year ?Who would you target Deuce, Bush or stay away ?

Teams have learned how to defend this offense.

Well, if the Saints don't get their act together, you might as well just pack your year in.I own Bush and Colston on one team, but Colston was kept for a 10th and is my WR3 and I could replace him with Braylon/Cotchery if need be. Bush is basically my RB2 behind Parker, so while I hope very much that he improves, I haven't been horribly disappointed. He laid some meh games last year, but I am in a PPR league, so he has averaged 9.5 points per game this year. Last year he averaged 15.5 ppg in my league, so while he hasn't been good, he hasn't been Lamont Jordan 2006 bad. Heck, outside of the huge game he had, he really only averaged 12.8 ppg, so again, it really isn't awful compared to 2006. I expected better than 2006 though, so let's hope he does improve.

I am getting SO sick of owning Reggie Bush. Got him with 1.01 in my dynasty league last year, and I tell you....he's talented and everything but you have to sit through these damned weeks of him rushing 10 times for 25 yards and 2 receptions for 13 yards. It's painful.

Meanwhile I have Marshawn Lynch and Chris Brown on my bench....and it's a weekly pain of "you can't sit Bush" but knowning I might get crapped on.

He seems to do this crazy stutter step before he hits the line. SO many carries for a loss.

It's getting spooky...a buddy of mine told me when he was drafted that he was either the next LT or the next Erick Metcalfe.

The risk at this point out way the reward and honestly that should not be the case with your first round selection. People who drafted him are bound to him - as goes Reggie their fantasy season will follow.
