Rep. Frank to step down at end of term (1 Viewer)

Not getting the Syracuse love. Is it because they've beaten on a couple Ivy League intramural squads, plus powerhouses LBSU and EMU recently?
It's more the how than the who.
It's more of how are they considered based on who they played.
They've played some very fine teams. Scrappy, no quit squads. Some real dark horses. SD St hasn't lost since our opening game beatdown.
:lmao: Meanwhile, Duke has played some real ####ty teams who just quit. Duke played some real light horses. Minnesota, OSU, and Louisville haven't lost to anyone else. But yes, Syracuse's 1 signature win (which according to the AP Poll is worse than Duke's 3 top wins) is good enough to actually put Cuse above them.
spidey sense tingling

I think we're going to know a lot more about this Syracuse team after tonight. They take on probably one of if not the most underrated team in the country in Monmouth. As gifted a squad as any in D1. KenPom has them as a top 240 team. It's a risk to play these types but if you don't play the dangerous teams you don't grow. Win or lose it'll help us come March.

Hmmm.....yes. Wise words and it's obvious you know your college hoops.Michigan just barely eeked out a win over an Arkansas team today who was dominated not long ago by Syracuse. Final scores between the 2 games doesn't tell the tale. Arkansas was one of the best teams in the nation when facing the Orangemen but a week later against the Wolverines they should be considered one of the worst.

19-8 in the foul department in that Mich-Ark game. Beating 5 guys tough enough. Beating 8 nearly impossible.

That has nothing to do with one team being much more athletically gifted and physically superior, it was just complete favoritism from the refs?

Just seems like they got a lot of 50/50 calls. That's all I'm gonna say.

In the three games where Monmouth had lines at a good amount of books, sharps destroyed the Monmouth spread.

Best team in Cuse history. No shtick. We're head over heels better than last year. Where's the weakness?

Could you not say the same for others at the top?Michigan starting 2 freshman....Big Dog Jr. and Larry Bird 2.0, and another freshman is their 6th man. They've got the best PG in America and a ton of room to grow with all that youth.
They're a fine squad. If you look at everything objectively though it's tough to say their better than Syracuse. Neutral court tonight you'd have to think the talented Orange win by 20-25.
That last part is just ridiculous.

Who says Boeheim is scared to play top OOC competition? The guy puts Syracuse through an absolutely murderer's row of opponents every Nov/Dec.

It's pretty much a lock that Cuse will lose 2-3 players in January for failing to meet the rigorous academic standards Boeheim demands. The Orange should be happy with getting to the sweet 16, maybe round of 8.

Butler doing what Butler does.

Canisius has been a solid team so far since adding transfer Baron. Making it a good game vs 'Cuse at half - let's see how well their depth is.

Arizona won't be undefeated for much longer. They've had 3 games they should have lost that they pulled out at the end. Good experiences for the tournament though.

What a game by Butler/Gonzaga! This legitimizes even more so that win against IU. Or, moreso, the loss by IU to Butler.

So Syracuse is undefeated outside of Pennsylvania. Most people predict Syracuse to be playing in Philadelphia in the first 2* rounds. :stirspot:

I don't know if they are the "best" team, but Miami looks to be a team with nice senior leadership from the guard position. I like that at tourney time...

Everyone knows its Syracuse. Come on now. As far as Miami is concerned, Larkin, is only a sophomore. Miami is an intriguing team and they will decide many people's brackets.

When Indiana works to get the ball into Zeller, they are the best team in the country and it is not that close.

Florida is breaking the KenPom rankings. I don't think anyone's been as high since KU in 2008 in terms of Adj OffEff - Adj DefEff.
:hot: gonna suck if they win another.
I can see some upside to it.
Marrying a Gator. She's trying to convince me to become a fan since she's a grad and a big fan. So far...not working. Has taken away some of the dislike though. Not a teenager anymore after all
