Replacement officials & Pass interference (1 Viewer)

Are these officials letting more contact happen in the secondary? I understand they're not as good and many mistakes are gonna happen but it seems they're really putting the flags away when it comes to pass interference. Am I the only one noticing this? If these guy are in for a large chunk of the season could we see a regression in the crazy passing numbers of 2011?

There was one play last night in the Packers/Bengals game I couldnt believe wasnt flagged.

Rodgers runs the usual play action and I think it was Nelson open downfield at the two. Gets run into and no flag.

If this carries over into the regular season, I can envision some pretty physical play going on.

I agree this probably gets called with the normal refs, but I really didn't see it as PI. The defensive man was running and Nelson changed direction and ran into the defender. The defense has as much right to a space as the receiver. I thought it was good non-call, but I'll be I'm in the minority in this.

He (the defender) showed no attempt at trying to locate the ball. I'm pretty sure that gets a :penalty: with the normal refs.

I've noticed it, it's like they're afraid to call it. I'm sure it's tough like holding on the O line but the regulars need to come back. When the Cleveland Browns can sell for 1 billion they can afford to use the best refs!

Yes, I said he probably would have drawn a flag with normal refs. Nelson changed directions and ran into the defender. The receiver can't just run into the defender. Locating the ball has nothing to do with it in this situation.
