Return Men (KR/PR) - how to adjust (1 Viewer)

Pretty much all leagues have a setting where a return TD is 6 points, just like any other TD.  But for leagues that allow return yardage points, do guys like Lockett/Tyreek/Jarvis sneak up a few spots on your draft boards?  Probably not worth rostering someone who ONLY returns kicks, but for WRs or RBs that pull double duty,  does it factor into your decision? Is 0.1 pt/ret yard enough to move Tyreek up to WR2, for example?   Or just use to to help make the Lockett vs.Sutton decision in Round 5 easier?

Points for return yardage can make a pretty huge difference for guys like Lockett, moving them up multiple rounds.

Ideally you'd find a source of projections which includes return yardage. I think FBG has that; Adam Harstad does the return projections.

As a second best, you could check last year's scoring and see how big a difference return yardage made. Last year Lockett had 345 return yards. At 0.1 pt/yd that's 34.5 pts, which would move him up from last year's WR13 to WR5 in total points (without crediting anyone else for return points). But then you'd also need some estimate of which guy will do returns this year.

I just commented in the “DP” topic (lol)

We do .1/3 yards KR/PR

Works out to a few points per game + TDs, - FL.

Really helps balance some marginal WR/RB & deepen the player pool.

Dionte Johnson will be returning punts and with that defense could return 32-35. At 8 per return that’s another 25-30 pts

if you think he will score about 200 pts in ppr, the return yards would jump him up from about WR 30 to about WR 15

Reviving an old thread because I searched and couldn’t find anything more recent.

This will be my first year in a kick return league.

Is there’s a list anywhere of starters that return kicks. 1 point per 20 yards could make a big difference.

Antonio Gibson
Patterson
Does Rondale Moore return punts?
Kevontae Turpin if for some reason he works his way into the WR room for the cowboys.

Anyone else out there that’s going to be returning kicks or punts this year.

We have the same return yard points in our league. Patterson does kick returns still (not always) but not punts. Rondale Moore has done both. Some other interesting names are Renfrow, Aiyuk, Hardeman, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Nyheim Hines, Devin Duvernay. Not sure if Miami will let Tyreek or Waddle handle any, since they also have Cedrick Wilson who can do it. Ray-Ray McCloud, Gunner Olszewski, and Braxton Berrios are very interesting if there are injuries on the depth charts ahead of them at WR, as they could be nice contributors in that scenario. I use this list to get an idea...
