Return yards compared to previous years (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know a good way to see what the average kickoff return was this week compared to previous years? While there were a lot of touchbacks, it appeared to me that those that were returned were much more exciting and/or productive, not to mention netted 3 TD's in the first weekend, which is pretty amazing.

Admittedly, it could be from lack of the offseason for special teams, but I have a hunch that not letting the kickoff team get a running start could give returners a lot more room to breathe and result in more big plays.

I was thinking about this yesterday too. One week isn't a big enough sample size (especially for TD stats), but eventually I'd like to see the following stats split for 2010/2011:

% of touchbacks

% of touchdowns

Average return distance (when no touchback OR touchdown)

Average starting field position (includes touchbacks)
