Big Score

I doubt other teams put out feelers to him before the FA period began, as that's tampering and is a big no no in the NFL.Lots of scuttle butt / infromed speculation last year, that there was a good chance Edge would be gone this year.I highly doubt Rhodes would've signed that deal if he was getting any sense of interest from the rest of the league. I'm pretty sure the guys like Chesta and Jordan made quite a bit more than that, and if Rhodes was good enough for someone to bring him on as the starter he likely would've made more as well.
Maybe Rhodes liked his chances of being the Colts starting RB this year and that's why he signed the $4+ million extension in '05?
If John Q Public was smart enough to see the huge contracts that Manning & Harrison got and heard that Polian was going to resign Wayne, I'm sure Rhodes, who is actually on the Colts team, knew it as well.
If I'm not mistaken, neither Taylor nor Jordan received extension offers from their respective teams. I could be wrong on Jordan though.Didn't Chester/Jordan turn down deals on their teams because they knew they would draw interest from teams looking for a starter?
While it's true that Rhodes could've turned down the Colts extension offer last year, there weren't any openings for starting RB's. Heck, neither Edge nor Alexander got any interest last year either and they were available (admitedly for a 2nd rounder).I could well be wrong, but I'm just saying there's plenty of other far more valid reasons to dislike Rhodes.Rhodes didn't draw any interest.
You don't need to work so hard, to find reasons to discount him
