Ricky Williams (1 Viewer)

(Rotoworld) On Thursday, Dolphins coach Nick Saban mentioned the absence of two "prime time" players as a possible explanation for a poor season.

Impact: One is Daunte Culpepper; the other is playing for Toronto's CFL team. Coming off a 62-pass effort from Joey Harrington, Saban also acknowledged that his Dolphins "have not run the ball enough." It sounds like the coach is counting on Ricky Williams returning in 2007

Anyone in a keeper league thinking of picking up Ricky?

And if so does he stay in Miami?

Searched for a little while attempting to find Ricky's contract status to the Dolphins. Anyone know how many years they have left on his deal?

They've got him through next year:

2005 540000.00

2006 585000.00

2007 670000.00

He's probably making close to that much money playing for the CFL and the quality of life is better for him up there.

I would not be surprised to see Ricky come back next year to the 'phins and then vacate the NFL.

Just remember that the 'phins have a judgment against him to recover their signing bonus, so they wouldget a piece of any contract he signs in 2008 with an NFL team.

Good luck collecting from him out of the country, but if he plays for an NFL team, he will probably lose a lot of money.

Last week Ricky did a interview on radio with a local sportscaster. Ricky did a one hour interview with this guy and let me tell you Ricky is a heads up guy with the way he speaks and expresses himseff & how he see the situation he is in.He enjoys his time here in the Great White North and the pace of life here is more laid back. He said he was never worried about money as it seemed to avaible if he needed it.Appairently he gives free yoga classes somewhere near the place he lives. Yesterday threre was another interview by a bunch of reporters about this weeks game for toronto. There were trying to corner Ricky into saying he's going to have a great game and how the best come out to play (imp. game for the playoffs ). He responded saying that the best always play their hardest, the reporters had doubts with that remark and them he mentioned Jorden anda couple of others. A real right on answer, it had the reporters stumbeling for a comebackRight on Ricky!

And the end of the day, not only are weed laws relaxed up here, they give it away on every street corner.

Ricky ain't coming back folks...he's found a home he's happy with

Dolphins | R. Williams will return to team in 2007

Tue, 7 Nov 2006 18:25:39 -0800

Harvey Fialkov, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports CFL RB Ricky Williams will honor his agreement with the Miami Dolphins and return to the team in 2007. "Ricky promised the Dolphins that he'd return and the whole project of him signing with the Argonauts was predicated on him being released at the end of the year. Ricky is having a wonderful time in Canada; it's a less intrusive brand of football, but his status hasn't changed," said Williams' agent Leigh Steinberg. He said that Williams would be unable to return to the Argonauts next year because the two leagues run concurrently

Interesting - anyone think a team would trade for him if the price were right?

From a purely selfish fantasy perspective what does this do for Ronnie Brown owners?

Presumably Ricky won't be around much longer than a season, but if you've got Ronnie as your RB1, you don't want him in an RBBC.

I doubt he'd be part of an RBBC. It's truly Ronnie's show now, and I would imagine Ricky would either be shipped out or a great insurance policy. How about Ricky going to Denver?

According to the interviewer last week (see post #5) Ricky is not a very big man right now. He said he looked to be around 210 lbs and would need some Beefing Up if he was playing in the NFL.

A RBBC team sounds about right, seems like a lot of teams are going that way now.

I thought the same thing happened last year when he was a bit slim due to his lighting up on the Marrakesh Express, only to beef up before the season started.
