I didn't google it but help me understand what you recycle and what you pay for putting a tiny white box on your front porch.

I don't get it.

I don’t use it but from sounds like they have different tiers and they pickup batteries, plastics, clothing/shoes, textiles.

Seen many of these bins around my neighborhood but never knew what it was. This is the most "Portland" business I've seen in a while. I'm not surprised its so prominent here.

$18/month to take some of my garbage, so that I can feel a little better about myself helping the environment.

The small bins are about the size of a cake. I thought people were getting cakes delivered.

I don't get it.

Virtue signaling imo. You have to make sure your Ridwell box is prominently displayed with good sight lines for the neighbors and guests.

The trash company our neighborhood uses has a recycling program that you can pay extra for. We were all on board and then somebody actually followed the dedicated recycling truck one day for some reason and they all got dumped in the same spot in the landfill. Participation dropped off immediately.
