Riley Cooper this week (1 Viewer)

I fully expect to jinx myself but I really think Riley Cooper will actually have a better game this week than his 5 catch, 75 yard and a touchdown performance last week. Maclin is out (most likely), Desean is an afterthought. That leave big ol Riley Cooper to step in and increase his production. He's such a different player than every other Eagles receiver. He's shown that he can work with unconventional Qbs like Vince Young and Tim Tebow. I'm predicting 6-85 and a touchdown today.

Plus, don't forget this:

CB Devin McCourty (shoulder) and SS Patrick Chung (foot) have been downgraded from 'questionable' to 'out' for Week 12 against the Eagles.CB Antwaun Molden and SS Sterling Moore will start in their places, respectively. As the 32nd ranked pass defense before these injuries, the Pats will be the best matchup Vince Young and the Eagles have for the rest of the year.
I thought the same thing and picked up Cooper where I could. I think there is something to be said for the rapport the developed working together with the 2nd team most of the year. I'm actually not sure I'd be as confident if Vick was playing.I don't think Jackson will be an afterthought, but everything is setting up for Cooper to be a difference maker this week.

Now contemplating a Riley pick up and play now that it looks like Addai is getting the start over D. Brown (and don't think BJGE will do much @Philly).

If I know Bill B., he's going to focus on stopping McCoy and DJax and make V. Young "work" his way up the field. I think he'll give up the underneath stuff in the hopes that V. Young inevitably makes a mistake. Bend but don't break D.

I'm already starting Celek. Could see Celek and Cooper as targets #1 and #2.

Then again, this smells like the classic move that nets a big goose egg. I did the same thing with Arian Foster a couple years ago. He fumbled and was benched the rest of the game.

I'm starting Celek and Cooper. I'm not worried but I probably should be.

As a pats fan, I know I'm nervous about this game.

The secondary is a complete mess. It made Palko look good...for a while anyway. Also, Philly's D seemed to finally "get it" last week against the NYG. I think if NE starts off slow again and the run game gets stuffed (like the NYG's last week) V. Young could control the game a bit.

Leaning towards Cooper. His upside is pretty big.

My opponent is also taking flyers on J. Simpson and J. Gaffney. Feel like Cooper has as good a shot as these guys of hitting their upside projectins this week.

I was just looking at this matchup a little bit. I don't see any reason to think he won't get less than 50 yards, or more than 75. May or may not score. Vince just didn't look to him last weekend after that first catch. But then again, they lost by forcing the ball to Desean, who you'd have to think is playing his last few games in philly. I think we'll see more of the same this week though. He's a WR3 for me in the biggest week of the season.
