Robert Griffin III (1 Viewer)

Guy has to score three times just to get the third TD to count. Lots of shortsighted thinking in here. His supporting cast needs help but he has shown he can be a machine if he gets on a roll and he will only get better.
No doubt he's an elite talent and a special player. But I terms of redraft fantasy this year, you have to be concerned if you're an owner.

Russell Wilson, at home vs Jets.

I also may go after Golden Tate to fill in for Cobb instead of Titus Young.

Drafted him in the 4th round of a keeper league with the intention of keeping him for his entire career, and thought I was being "too" aggressive.

Currently is ranked 4th in total points behind Brady, Brees, and Rodgers.

Couldn't be happier at this point :)

I've benched him the past two weeks for Ryan. Jeeez it's hard playing matchup with those two

Halfway through the Atl-TB game and I guess I'll be starting RG3 every week after this. Mostly matchup proof. I wonder how much Julio Jones being less than 100% is what's dragging Ryan down...

I am hoping the fact that he is playing at home on Monday Night brings out the best in him. The Giants secondary looked very good against Rodgers on Sunday, but hopefully RG3 will have more success.

Monday night, at home, divisional opponent, playoffs at stake. Redskins are not going to have a problem with the pass rush like GB did.

Dont see why he doesnt have another big game.

Why not? Trent Williams is great, but Tyler Polumbus has no business starting in the NFL.

Maybe the theory being that, unlike statueish Rodgers, Griffin can move out of any collapsing pocket...

It don't think it has much to do with the O-Line. The Giants have already played the Redskins. The read option forced the Giant DE's to mostly be honest. The Pack has absolutely no run game. Every Giant D-Lineman could pin his ears back and chase Rodgers. It's possible that the Giants play much better. It's possible they get plenty of sacks. RGIII has taken his share of sacks this year. But absent a lot of self-inflicted wounds in the Pittsburgh game and the Carolina game, not a lot of teams have just been able to stop the read option, the passing game, the triple option wrinkle, and the standard Shanahan stretch plays. The Redskins don't do anything as well as the Packers throw the ball. But the Redskins have a Plan B and a Plan C that the Packers don't. The Giants are a nightmare matchup for the Packers in a way that I don't think they are for the Redskins.

Rodgers is no RGIII, but he is pretty mobile.

???
Ok, is it fair to say that Rodgers is a classic pocket passer who is more likely to have the pocket close on him vs the more mobile Griffin?Doesn't Rodgers have the most sacks in the league? Griffin ranks 9th with 11 fewer.

Otherwise just trying to make sense of the comment further up.

RG3 is excellent against the blitz. That's when he's most efficient. The problem is that the Giants can generate a pass-rush with just a basic four-man rush. That's problematic.

That was my thought going into the first game. And it's still a problem, IMO, if the Redskins have crappy 1st and 2nd downs and end up in 3rd and long. But in the first game, the run game kept them honest. And Griffin kept himself alive. According to QBR, it was one of RGIIIs worst games of the season, despite 350 total yards and 2 TDs. Which is to say that he had a pretty damn good fantasy day even with the "objective" QBR guys thinking he missed plays (he was sacked 3 times, had 1 INT, and 8 incompletions).Morris had a very good game in the first game. If they stop him, maybe that spells trouble for RGIII. But it's still way different than the Packers game. The Packers had to drop Rodgers back again and again. They've been good enough to do that for awhile now, but the Giants are kind of uniquely well-suited to handling that. They can drop 7 and still get to the QB provided they don't need to respect the run that much.

JPP caused issues for RG3 last time around. He crashed hard on him on the read option plays. Caused at least 1 fumble, but I believe there was 2. Still, the Redskins were in the game. The key is the running game. If the Skins get down and have to be in obvious passing situations, their OL will not hold up from the pass rush.

I finally got my hands in RG3 in exchange for Bridgewater in my start 2qb dynasty league. Looking forward to following him.
