My money's on Alexander. Only because Madden doesnt put white athlete's on his cover!!
Thats pretty funny. But honestly why the snub on the white athlete. In 06 they went with Mcnabb. All he did was lose the SB. Brady won his 3rd and Manning set the TD record!I imagine the marketing department selects it, because if it was up to Madden, every year it would be Brett Favre.
I don't see this as a snub at all. All EA Sports wants to do is make money. I think they pick the player who they believe best captured the public fancy during the previous season. They want their box to stand out from others on the shelf.Thats pretty funny. But honestly why the snub on the white athlete. In 06 they went with Mcnabb. All he did was lose the SB. Larry Johnson
I couldn't find the link, now I am wondering if it was just speculation at this point.Sorry, No Link....but they already announced it was going to be Peyton Manning for 2007 cover.
If I find the link I will update this post.
or tiki barber...kind of like a fantasy football mag with tatum bell on the cover?

Manning can't be on the cover as far as I know- NFL Fever has himThats pretty funny. But honestly why the snub on the white athlete. In 06 they went with Mcnabb. All he did was lose the SB. Didn't EA buy the rights to have the only pro football video game (Madden) about a year ago? Madden had no competition this year from other NFL Licensed products. I think NFL Fever is dead.Manning can't be on the cover as far as I know- NFL Fever has himThats pretty funny. But honestly why the snub on the white athlete. In 06 they went with Mcnabb. Yes, that's correct for this season, but that is why Manning wasn't on the Madden cover previously.Didn't EA buy the rights to have the only pro football video game (Madden) about a year ago? I second.......No doubt Chad Johnson will get his cover some year soon.
Sea Bass, I'm disappointed in you. I thought for sure you'd nominate Bill Leavy.Steve Smith because he represents the big play potential that gamers enjoy.
When do they make the choice? If soon, they might avoid Alexander because he could sign elsewhere. As a Hawks fan I wouldn't resign Alexander if he is on the cover..........the curse is not something to be triffled with. Big Ben may be a good choice because a curse can't bring him down much lower than his last performance. (hehe)_
Or the Legendary Vanderbilt Quarterback Jay Cutler!the obvious answer is HOF RB Reggie Bush
This is the only surefire way to break the curse. The Bus.
My sentiments exactly...LJ will be the new Madden cover-boy.Larry Johnson![]()
Last two years this especially holds true. The 2005 game contained many defensive innovations and had Ray Lewis. 2006 with McNabb featured the vision cone like stated. I hear that the new systems would allow for much more control of player movements with the analog stick. If so, Barry Sanders in his hey day would be gold. I would guess Steve Smith, a runner like LT2, or the human joystick Dante Hall would be possibilities. It depends what the game is trying to do innovative this year. Last year they had the new vision cone and therefore put a QB on the cover
