Well when Warner went to Carolina and lit them up he got my full attention. Romo's line is really suspect IMO. Especially when the Cards layeth the smack down on Romo the way they did.

I think those two games you mentioned are a concern. However, Warner showed that he may still be a decent play with what he did against Carolina, who really put clamps on Brees only a week earlier. He really may do well only because of the sheer volume they throw when they get behind - see the Jets game. Might be a one time scenario but still worth examining.

Romo has PIT, NYG and BAL in the FF playoffs currently ranked 1,2 and 4 against the pass ... It doesn't get much worse than that.

Warner has STL, MIN and NE currently ranked 28, 23 and 17 against the pass

Over their past 16 games Warner has 4793 yards passing with 37 TD's and 18 INT's and Romo has 4193 yards passing with 35 TD's and 15 INT's. That's 303 fantasy points for Warner and 277 for Romo. Romo is coming back from an injury and Kurt has the easier schedule. I'll still feel that Warner is the better play when Tony is back.

Who is your 3rd QB? Barring injury to Warner then this trade for sure makes sense.. You get Wayne & Jones & Warner is at worst probably equal to Romo.. However, what if Warner does end up getting hurt.. Who would your QB be then.. Keeping both may not be the worst thing you could do either..

Just to play devils advocate - The drop-off in production could also be a result of how bad the backup QB's are. I'm not sure that it is a barometer of how good Romo is.

Took the gamble and accepted the trade. Probably dumb based on my injury/suspension luck this year (Romo, Pittman, Sammy Morris, Addai, Plax, [Deuce])

No, but the offense was playing decent. Romo's had plenty of 300 yard games this year and that was minus Roy Williams added to the team. These clowns that are in there now can't even get 150.

Warner is almost match-up proof IMHO...Romo isn't. He'll throw for a ton of yards regardless of the opponent. Unless your league penalizes big for both int's and fumbles, I'd prefer Warner going foward this year.

Dynasty is a differant story though.

I don't see Romo having serious troubles passing on the Eagles, the Giants, Pit, or Baltimore. Romo already played against the Eagles once, and had 312 yards and 3 touchdowns. That was before he had Roy Williams.
