Ron Dayne, Starting RB Denver Broncos (1 Viewer)

You know I've never had a chance to run behind the Denver O-line, shouldnt i get my shot?
 But maybe we can throw JoeT in there and watch him get nailed by LBs for starting this mess. :P

"Ron Dayne has come in and really helped himself," Shanahan said. "He has helped himself in the offseason conditioning program by really getting into great shape. He's got some natural running skills. It will be interesting to see how he does in game situations."
http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_2909119He did win the Heisman... and he is a good fit for the Broncos system. I'd say they've done well with guys who have less credentials than this guy.
:X I really have no idea what to say to this.

Your post has left me with nothing to say...and not in a good way.

This may be the worst post ever.
sup. :hey:

Never question a member of the purple chip club.

Too bad you didn't have the foresight to grab him in Chakeleeg. :own3d:

Can't believe I drank any of this Den RB kool-aid. Bell especially he really cost me because I put too much into his pre pre-season ranking and now am stuck with him and a 2nd round rook for JJones. Ouch. My team is falling apart and somehow I am 2-0. CPep, Arrington and Bell the kings of underachievers. Anyway get Dayne if you got room it's worth the risk just don't put too much stock in the security of any of these backs.

A good rule of thumb is to not spend a 1-3 round draft pick on anyone who has any doubt (aka risk) around him in terms of PT. It's just too high of a price to pay for the reward you get.

It was dynasty so no picks other than rookie involved. I knew I shouldn't have traded JJones for Bell in the first place. I hated Bell but drank the kool aid. My general rule has been to avoid Min and Den but Droughns did win a lot of games for people last year. Just have to rebuild again after finally getting a franchise back in Julius Jones which I blew also droped FWP in the off season then drafted JJ and Shelton. That team is kinda cursed. Anyway it happens just have to make sure to follow the rules I set for myself better next time. :endrant:

Just curious, not taking anything away from Dayne, I did not see the series Dayne played on Sunday. I was wondering what type of defense were the Chargers playing? I was wondering if they were in a pass prevent and the run caught them of guard.

Nice call Joe T....I'm just sitting back and watching the rush on the WW... so nice to be pickin up Dayne in the 16th round of the draft and smile when everyone laughed. :banned:

The score was tied, so I don't think the Chargers were in a prevent defense.

Nothing came up. I did do a search for '2-win Cakeboy teams' and 'WCOFF failures' and found some interesting results though. :coffee:

I'm confused...Didn't you JUST say this to someone else regarding being wrong?

You're getting as bad as TGunz about not knowing how to admit you were wrong.

No one, NO ONE knows what Dayne is capable of as a featured back behind this line. I'd at least give him a fair shot. And even if he gets cut, this doesn't say anything as there is MAJOR talent in that Denver backfield.
Translation: "No objective test can ever prove to me that Ron Dayne is not a great running back. All his failures do is confirm how great he is. If only he could find that perfect, golden situation where his prowess would shine. Oh, thats right, he did. It was called college, ie totally inferior atheletes."
:lmao: :lmao:
