Who's jumping on the Ron Dayne train vs ATL? Is this a risky play with Houstons receivers hurt? Looks like he had some good games last year against some decent defenses.
Forced to start him after S-Jax went down, Portis, Betts, and Fred Taylor on bye's, KJ up against Bears. As long as he gets me double digits points, I will be happy. All aboard the "Dayne Trayne" I have him as my RB#3. Looking for 50-75yds, 1 or 2 TD's and 1 or 2 receptions.
He was taken off the injury report on Wednesday for whatever it's worth.I put him in at RB3/flex instead of Sammy Morris and I am still thinking on this.....Any thoughts on how his ribs are doing? That is the only consideration here IMO...
Does anyone have confirmation on that last sentence?I picked him up as well, but I can't see starting him over FWP, Henry or ADP. I think he has a great match up. Gado might get some but Dayne will get the bulk.
:( Wasn't Dayne out with an injury last week? I think it's a big assumption that a Dayne is going from being inactive one week to suddenly getting a majority of carries the following week.Does anyone have confirmation on that last sentence?I picked him up as well, but I can't see starting him over FWP, Henry or ADP. I think he has a great match up. Gado might get some but Dayne will get the bulk.
Starting Dayne over LJ .....ugh
Makes sense. In another thread I posted the numbers of Dayne's carries vs. the No. 2 RB the weeks he started late last season. It wasn't even comparable. Dayne got a ton of carries and the backup typically got 4-5. Maybe Gado gets a few more today but I think it will be the Ron Dayne Show in the Houston backfield against a poor Atlanta run defense.FWIW, Clayton is reporting that Dayne will get most of the carries today.
In week 4, no less. But this isn't bc I don't trust LJ, but moreso bc of his hammy and the fact that they reported he's not 100% and Bennett would see "significant time". Still embarrassing.Starting Dayne over LJ .....ughWho'd have thunk that possible at the beginning of the year?
I'm considering Ron Dayne versus Sammy Morris as well. Leaning Dayne. My big concern with Dayne is that he starts the game but then reinjures those ribs after some hits. Then comes out of the game. Could see that happening which would be crippling (for me, not Dayne).I put him in at RB3/flex instead of Sammy Morris and I am still thinking on this.....Any thoughts on how his ribs are doing? That is the only consideration here IMO...
I am considering the same option.starting dayne over westbrook![]()
Ugh........I just made the same roster move. Hopefully this doesn't bite us in the ####!starting dayne over westbrook![]()
I'm with you guys (UGH)................too big a risk with Westy's status up in the air. I also have Droughns, but still feel Dayne is the best choice. G'luck fellas.Ugh........I just made the same roster move. Hopefully this doesn't bite us in the ####!starting dayne over westbrook![]()
Someone posted in another thread that Green is on the list of inactives for the Texans. So is A.Green officially out or what?
me toStarting Dayne over LJ .....ugh
Still debating whether to start Dayne over Sammy Morris. <shiver> Dayne gives me the shakes. But he does get the start today with Ahman Green inactive.I am on the band wagon, but have fears. Fears of 8 in the box due to no AJ. Fears of the ribs and Gado getting more of a share. But Dayne is not as bad as his rep in the FFL world. He can be an effective NFL back and this is a great matchup.
I'm also going with Dayne over Caddy, but not with confidence.I'm afraid of a stat line of... 16 carries, 39 yd, 0 TD. No A.Johnson or Jacoby Jones = stacked D against the run.Starting Dayne over Westy. Also starting Dayne over Caddy and KJ.
