Ronnie Brown trade voided (1 Viewer)

In blind waiver cap bid leagues how does a commish handle this situation? Obviously brown's value is back to nothing....refund waiver cap or tough luck?

This re-bumps jahvid best once he comes back from concussion. brown was the only legitimate threat to steal meaningful carries and trade deadline passed. Best owners rejoice!

I'm not a Best owner, and I'm guessing those saying he will be back are optimistic owners......right? Two concussions this season already wouldn't have me feeling optimistic.

Best isn't coming back...
Best is coming back. Might not be this week. But he'll be back.
I'll lay down a twenty spot on the over on week 10
So u said he isnt coming back. Then want to bet he isnt going to come back after week 10...

Trading for Brown was not a sign that Best will be out for the season. Ronnie Brown was not going to fill in for Best. He was brought in to pick up the tough yards so Best wouldn't have to.

I won't be surprised if he's out til after the bye, but Best wil be back.

Isn't one of the reason why Best dropped in the draft because of a major concussion his last year at Cal? iIRC he did a flip into the end zone at the pylon and landed on his head.

I don't understand where everyone is getting this information. I just google best and all I could find was Schwartz said he isn't ruling best out for this week. He might play this week of he passes his baseline tests.

Maybe there is another thread out there specifically about the Lions RBs moving forward but didn't see it....

So who is going to get the carries/touches now that Brown is out? I was desperate for a RB so I jumped all over Brown on the WW this week and now that he fell through I've jumped all over both Morris and Williams and picked them up. Really looking for some clarity on this situation if anyone's got it.

From what I hear Morris is the main guy to get.

We reversed all transactions. The RB bid was based on the report of the trade. IMO the league should not announce trades until all players have passed all physicals/tests. Bottom line, if the trade had not been reported then the bids would not have materialized.

Does Best injuries realy surprise anyone? Even if he comes back in the next few weeks, with his history he's likely to get injured again, again, and again. Owners of Best knew when drafting him that he was the Biggest Hit or Miss back out there. The Loins knew what they were doing when they drafted another running back but when he got hurt they did nothing and took their chances with making Best a full-timer which he's obviously not.

Good luck

Tex

:ptts: I drafted Best knowing his injury history but somehow thought it wouldnt touch him this season :wall:

He is probably done for the year if they were going after Brown

:lmao: way to knock two months of your first prediction zoo..... :lmao: I bet you MIN smokes GB this week but you gotta give me 62 points just in case.....

I bet the trade was going to go through until the NFL found out the wife had Brown and the husband had Harrison.......

Any reports on what the preexisting health condition Harrison has that caused the trade to be cancelled?
I hope it's not true but this was posted yesterday on a Lions board

I think this is Scott Linehan's son and he tweeted a couple hours ago on Harrison . . . if true, it really is a shame.

Before everyone starts getting pisses at Harrison, I just got word he's been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Very sad news

@matt_linehan12 Matt Linehan

My prayers go out to him and his family. This a very serious, very real situation. We can only hope that he makes a full and speedy recovery

Without trade, Jerome Harrison doesn't get physical. Without physical, doctors don't find brain tumor. Trade might have saved his life.

Agree. Awful. We make decisions all the time based on limited information.

This is really a bummer. Good thing they caught this and hopefully he can overcome it.
I didn't know that MRIs or CT Scans are part of physicals. He should have been already having symptoms such as headaches and blurred vision among others. Wouldn't they have discovered it already?

This is such a wimp move. Let them stand by the gamble they made

As someone that bid on Brown (and won him), I 100% agree. All bids should stand. You place bids based on info available at the time.

I agree with this, moves should have stood.
