I am debating something with my league mates right now and I would like some help coming up with players who have made a MAJOR impact in fantasy football their rookie season.

Can be offensive, defensive or special teams.

Define major. Is that top 5 at their position? Top 10? How about overall?

Would LT be considered major impact? He finished 7th for RBs. 11th overall.

How about Peyton Manning? He finished 9th at his position. But only 40th overall.

From 1992-2002 there was a 200 point RB every year except 1997. If you take out McGahee since he wasn't a rookie, then there has been one the last 3 years.

in 1966 people were probably espousing the "Stud Rookie WR" FF theory

It's basically an every-year occurrence for a rookie RB to put up top-10 RB numbers. For QB's, it's more like every 3 years or so, which is probably comparable to WR's and maybe TE's too.
