Roomie Universal Remote (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for a way to turn my iphone 5 into a universal remote and someone mentioned an app called roomie, has anyone ever used/heard of it before? If not do you know of any other universal remote apps that work?

Comcast has a pretty slick app that has the TV guide on it and let's me change channels and set the DVR. Not really universal but much easier than figuring out how to use the 73 button remote from Comcast.

The only downside I see here is having Comcast.

Unless you buy an adapter, you can't. The iPhone 5 doesn't have an IR or RF blaster so it has no way to send a signal to your equipment unless all your equipment can accept Bluetooth or WiFi commands.

I have DirectTV and I know I'll need an adapter I just want one that works. Everyone I look up gets awful reviews.
