Rudi needs a new role in Cincy (1 Viewer)

Watson needs to be the full time starter in Cincy. He is more effective. This is the same with Dillion and Rudi. Time to pass the torch Rudi it was a nice run.

I like how the title made me think there was an announcement of some sort and then WHAM!!! plot twist! Just a brief opinion instead!

What makes you say this other than the fact that Rudi has been injured and Watson has filled his backup role well? Rudi doesn't seem done to me. He seems injured.

I think it's legit to wonder what Rudi can do the rest of the season but it's not like Watson had a good game yesterday either. He was pretty bad too.

 What bothers me here is if he would just quit trying to play with an injury and actually get healthy before coming back I wouldn't have a heart attack every Sunday morning trying to figure out who's starting. It's not like they need him to get healthy for the playoffs. They aren't going. Put the guy in street clothes and dress another special teamer. I'm getting a little sick of these athletes crying wolf about their health. Rudi was no healthy yesterday yet he trotted out there. That does a disservice to himself, his team and Watson.

I hear ya. Don't see how they are doing themselves any benefit by playing him sparingly as they have been. It is hard to say whether he is still a good back because of the injury. I am currently considering an offer to trade Rudi, but not sure what to do because it isn't clear what the rest of this season will be. Although I do lean towards selling.

Do Bengal Homers think Kenny Irons is the answer at RB if healthy next year?
Right now, I have to think he's more question than answer. Team brass hasn't really seen what he can do, and I can't see them handing over the keys to him heading into 2008 even if they cut ties with Rudi.
