Rudi Johnson

Running back Rudi Johnson suited up at practice Friday and looked ready to go after he sat out Thursday’s practice with a back problem. His average of 84.3 rushing yards per game is second in the AFC behind Denver’s Tatum Bell.

:)

okay, but this week rudi loses center rich braham AND LT levi jones and so the "O" line has to shuffle it up again, rudi will not be great until he gets a stable line infront of him. that same "O" line shuffle creates problems for carson and so the offense struggles, i don't see big numbers in atlanta this week.

Rudi played last week without Braham and Jones and still managed 100 yards against a tough Panthers run defense.

Also, the game is in Cincinatti, not Atlanta.

and ATL is missing abraham and is a little thinner on their rush D, so this could be a nice one for rudi (no, i don't own him).

True enough, but if I was a Rudi owner I'd be pleased that he at least practiced on Friday; regardless of the o-line issues.

I dropped him for Wali Lundy this week. I can still get him if I want to. I would have to drop Michael Turner and since it is a keeper leauge I am in a pickle!

That's funny, I didn't even know Rudi was hurt. This won't keep him off the field though; he's a freaking truck.

I regards to Perry. I'd say he's worth a spot especially in a PPR league since he'll likely see about 4 balls thrown his way a game (given he's not injured) He won't take any significant playing time away from Rudi though. Maybe downgrade Rudi's expected receptions by 1/2. That isn't much though. Rudi will still be able to achieve his expected rushing totals IMO.

Are you guys expecting big numbers against ATL? I see the Bengals trying to exploit the Atlanta passing game more than jamming Rudi down their throats.

With the exception of the Giants' game, ATL has been fairly solid vs. the run (11th overall). They've only given up 2 rushing TDs this season, so I don't expect Rudi to score. As long as they can force Vick into a couple turnovers in the first half, Rudi might break 100 on the ground...but I'd expect more like 80-90 yds.

Is it time to pick up Chris Perry in point per reception league?
it was last week. but, yes, pick him up of you have a free spot or a cedric houston-type taking up a bench spot.
yup - with henry still on suspension, Perry = de facto wr3.great arguyments here - game in cincie, Atlanta DL banged up, Rudi has run succesfully behind makeshift OLs before, the team = committed to getting him his numbers, Atlanta's run D HAS given up a lot of yards on the road (Giants and Saints).

 Henry is no longer suspended, in fact, he was just activated to the 53-man roster. Perry = de facto WR4 and 3rd down RB, nothing more.

Perry had 50 catches last year - that's a big bonus in PPR leagues.

Yes - just read that they activated Henry. Thought he had another week of suspension.

They haven't had Abraham since the first game. He only played 20 snaps against the Giants. So Abraham not playing really is a moot point.
