RUMOR: Titans might make a play for Hackett for a 2nd rd pick (1 Viewer)

I've heard this rumor on a local radio station and I was wondering if you guys would take him for a 2nd rounder considering how deep the WR class is this year. I would imagine that the top 7 wrs would be gone by the Titans picked in the 2nd round. Where do you slot him?

A 2nd seems a bit high for Hackett, especially a mid-2nd.

But at the same time, he's really started to emerge and paired with Brandon Jones may make a pretty good 1-2 punch for VY.

And are they going to get a better WR with the 2nd rounder? Probably not.

Tough choice.

I was wondering whether they could get a better wr with that 2nd? I wouldn't be surprised to see someone with a late 2 make a play for him. Is he better than Kevin Curtis, Ashley Lelie or Drew Bennett? He probably would be cheaper

Seems pretty weird that SA and Edge couldnt get traded for a 2nd rounder but DJ Hackett can? I would love to have some of these NFL GM's in my fantasy leagues.

I think that he was slowly developing into a consistant threat last year, but can't see giving up a 2nd rd pick for him. I would be surprised to see anyone give up a 2nd for an unproven WR, when proven talent is not getting that much.

You can say that the Titans' two biggest needs are CB and WR. The more pressing need is CB. If they are set to take a CB with their number 1, then it seems to make sense to weigh which rookie WRs are likely to be left in the second round vs what Hackett has already shown. Hackett is still young but more proven than a second round rookie WR would be

sign me up for that GM spot :lmao:

I think Hackett would have more value in Seattleas long as DJax is dealt.
Agree. I cannot see Seattle losing both Jackson and Hackett.
I think that having Hackett is what is making DJax expendable. If Burleson was the #3 guy instead of Hackett then I think no way does Seattle trade. But Hackett has shown the last 2 years that he is ready to play, DJax has shown less fire. There was talk in preseason that this could be his last in Seattle. Disgruntled is not the right word, but it's the first that comes to mind. And picking up Branch makes it even more so. Plus Seattle's need for first day picks after givin #1 to NE. Hackett knows the system, is the only one of them over 6', and has speed to boot. I think he's very valuable in Seattle as a RZ threat, especially if Stevens is gone. With aniel Graham scheduled for a visit, you have to think that a Stevens adios is possible. But after watching him play, I think he will be valuable wherever he goes, but the mlore chances he gets in Seattle will be his best bet to excel.
