I heard it on Sirius yesterday and supposively this has legs. Due to Roy saying he won't resign with the Lions next year and the Eagles signing Samuels it makes Lito expendable and it makes sense. Supposely Marinelli wants to get alot stronger on D as well and this move would help them start. They were saying on the radio how the Lions are confident Calvin Johnson is the real deal and could fill Roy's spot immediately.

Thoughts?

No, Scheftler definetly doesn't say this and I have nothing to base this on except for the fact that we know Philly has tried to go after Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald. We know Philly knows they have a need a the position and they are ready to pay for it. They also have a disgruntled cb that Det. could use.

The Lions have picked up 2 corners already. I doubt they'd trade Roy for another.

I really think the Brian Kelly signing puts this to bed. The Lions have like 6 gaping holes right now and CB is no longer one of them.

CB is still a need but not as big as LB, OL and DL... IMHO.

I thought the Lions had this all figured out... they'd ship Roy off to philly... they'd get lito... and of course this trade would leave them slightly weakened at WR so come april....... you guessed it... draft another WR!
