Running a 20 or 24 person league - help... (1 Viewer)

I've been asked/forced to run the league at the place I work, and due to our growing size over the past year, we may be able to have 20-24 players in the league.

I know that's too many people for one league, so I was looking for suggestions on how to run two simultaneous leagues that would then compete in some sort of combined playoffs.

Anyone have any ideas that could help me along?

I figure if I have two separate leagues of 10 or 12 players, they could duke it out within each league for a majority of weeks and have a quick individual playoff of two weeks with four teams and then with those four teams seeded, have another three week playoff with the eight top teams.

So weeks 1-11 would be just regular season, 12 & 13 would be for the top four from each league and then 14-16 would be for the top 8. It seems like a lot of playoff weeks, but I'm not sure how else to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

20 teams2 - 10 team conferences

4 divisions (total- 5 teams in each)

each conf has two divisions and everybody plays each other 2x (8 games)

Then you play the OTHER division in your conference (5 more games)

this will be your regular season (13 games)

weeks 1-13 regular season

week 14 1v4 and 2v3 in each conference

week 15 Conf championship

repeat for OTHER conf

week 16 Fantasy bowl pitting two conf against each other

Also with that many teams, run it like two leagues you so are not to thin in the player pool. ie two drafts

As it so happens, I have run a 24 team league for the past 7 years. This is our 8th season and we have everything you want to do.e-mail me at rgureski@wi.rr.com and I'll send you some of our league constitution so you can see how we run things and then pick out what you like.

I am in two separate leagues that run 2 conferences of 12 teams each. Each conference uses the player pool, and the winners of each conference plays in the Super Bowl.
