It seems to me like projections for total RB touchdowns this year have been on the high side. Last year seems to be an aberration for this kind of thing:

6 running backs scored 15 or more total TDs (Maurice Jones Drew scored many of his on kick/punt returns). 10 running backs scored 10 plus total touchdowns.

In 2005 it was 3/12.

In 2004 it was 4/12.

In 2003 it was 4/12.

So where are you with your projections right now?

I'm looking at LT, LJ, and S. Jax to be our 15 TD winners.

Add those guys to R. Johnson, Gore, Westbrook (before he gets hurt), Addai, Alexander, Parker (unless Tomlin goes pass happy), Henry, Benson, and Bush for a grand total of 12. There may be a couple more (JOnes-Drew and Maroney), but I think that'll be it.

Well, you always have to consider that your are projecting 16 games for every player. That is naturally going to inflate the totals.

Granted. It still seems like I've seen way more 12+ and 15+ TD projections mentioned in individual player discussions this year than I have in the past, I'm just trying to get a gauge on whether I'm seeing things clearly or just focusing on what seems out of whack to me too much.

I also think a lot of people just pull projections out of their asses. I see a bunch of "<insert player name here> is gonna be a BEAST!!! 1600/14!!!1!!eleven!!!" without any reasoning behind the prediction, and don't put much stock in it. I mean, if you believed everything you read in the shark pool, you'd have 27 RB's ranked in the top ten.

When you include receiving TD's, LT, LJ, SJax, Parker, MJD, MBarber all had more than 15 and another 4 had 10+.Interestingly all the top RB's were UNDER projected by FBG's last year. The only RB's in the top 20 that had predictions that were close were LJ, Tiki, Rudi and Reggie. As you go through Projections dominator and compare 2006 actuals to 2007 predictions, all the top RB's are still under projected, except Reggie Bush. My belief is that the projections are still on the low side and that we will see 8 RB's (add Gore and Bush to the above list) with 15 or more total TD's. Provide Priest doesn't vulture LJ's TD's :bag: Joel

(4) LT, LJ, SJax, FWP = 15+

(5) Gore, SA, Jacobs, Benson, Addai = 10+

a few will fall just short
