I'm considering keeping R Church for $1. What is the general opinion about his chances with the Mets?

I like him as a sleeper this year.

He'll have no pressure on him bating 7th in a pretty good Mets lineup.

He also had somehting like 46 doubles last year in that spacious Wash ballpark - I'm hoping some of those doubles turn into HR's this year.

I've always liked him too. If he can avoid losing time to minor dings (which his style of play makes him susceptible to), he'll surprise a lot of people. If you have the roster space, definitely worth a buck!

Little nervous about him losing ABs against left-handers. I wouldn't reach for him but he's a solid late-round get.

This is not that bad of a thing. He can't hit lefties. Would you rather have 400 good AB or 500 bad AB.

I'm thinking Trot Nixion circa 2002-2005 as his downside, except he could have more power.
