Preliminary prognosis is anywhere from ten days to three weeks out if it's a minor fracture. They said if it's deeper, it could be much longer.

Obviously he's not on the level of a Vernon Wells, but if we're going to make this the baseball version of the SP (without the name-calling ), these stories should go up. He's been a huge asset to one of my teams to this point, luckily I was clued in to Dioner Navarro by some people here. Might be a good guy to check on availability if you own Doumit. Paulino obviously gets a huge bump with this news too.

It's not been a good week for me. Doumit goes down, Keppinger goes down, and before that Furcal went to the DL for me. Not a whole lot out there on the wire as far as middle infielders right now and Doumit was helping my weakness in the outfield (beyond Berkman who's holding his own) since he qualified there and Soto plays for me at catcher most days.
