I thought he looked good too. Some probably think LT could have done better with that new and "improved" O-line.Looks pretty darn good to me.

He sure has some quick feet. I am picking 10th in a 10 man league tomorrow and lookin at my options right now. I think i'd take him if he were there over Steven jackson, or possibly deangelo williams.
I guess I am in the clear minority but I think Ryan Matthews is being severly overdrafted this year.
I do recognize that he is talented but I just don't think the San Diego situation is that good. The Chargers ranked 31st in team running last year and it wasn't all Tomilinson's fault. Clearly Matthews is an upgrade over LT but the OL isn't exactly stellar and won't be helped by the McNeill hold out.
Having Hardwick back from injury will help but that doesn't mean they are a top running unit. Also, Matthews has limited value in PPR leagues because he clearly will be the second option out of the backfield as a receiver behind Sproles who will likely play in third down situations and the 2 minute drill.
I am not predicting Matthews will be a bust I just think he is being overdrafted.
My projections would be
275 carries @ 4.2 per carry = 1155 yards rushing
180 yards receving
1335 total yards and 8 TD's.
Not bad numbers but I see him ranked as high as the #6 running back on the board and I think that is way too high.
