Interesting note from Rotoworld and I am willing to bet Shanny figured this out. Torain was not unproductive, the QB and line were..Ryan Torain gained 26 yards after contact in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. Torain finished with 10 carries for 22 yards, but he played better than that. The Eagles sold out to stop the run against a Redskins line that lost two starters mid-game, and the defense constantly hit Torain in the backfield.

What's their status now? If the line is decimated it won't matter who's QB for them.

Kory Lichtensteiger is out for the year and Trent Williams will probably miss a couple weeks.

Well if he can't be productive against the Panthers D, he's not a starter the rest of the year anyway.

Has there been any indication he is getting the start this week? Or just general Shanahan not-letting-anyone-know quotes floating around per usual?

So Rotoworld is reporting that Hightower is probable for the Carolina game. What are the chances that Hightower regains his starting job or eats significantly into Torain's carries now that he's healthy? Did Torain just start and play in the past few games because Hightower was injured?

My biggest fear with starting Torain this week is that he doesn't start or play much in the actual game. I loathe Shannahan.

 
i know skeletor is a headache trying to predict

i know skeletor has some crazy man-love for torain that dates back to their denver days together

hightower is now healthy according to reports, and the starting wash rb is a headache, but has value...any homers with insight or are we gonna just have to wait till gametime to see how this will play out

(i'm thinking of dropping THT for gostowski...that's my thought on his value going forward)

I think THT is still worth rostering for at least a few more weeks to see how it pans out
 
Anyone trying to predict or actually ask what Mike Shanahan is planning to do at RB hasn't been paying attention for the last 7+ years, they should just hand their shark card in now and be demoted to guppie.

I think THT is still worth rostering for at least a few more weeks to see how it pans out

I agree with this. let his shoulder heal and he start playing like he did earlier in the season he could show back up.

Shanahan hasn't been quite as unpredictable and random as you might think. He usually has a 1000-yard rusher on his team, but it sometimes takes a couple games to identify who that rusher is. The only years where things were really messed up were 2007 (when Travis Henry and Selvin Young alternated) and 2008 (when 6 guys had at least 35 carries).

Why is Torrain ranked in the mid teens this week on FBG?He's got the best match up of the season against Carolina. Seems like a no brainer, right?

 
Torain has more upside than McGahee tomorrow.

Philly jumped out to a big lead and couldn't use Torain. I look for this Carolina game to be very close. Torain should have the better day inn non ppr leagues.

Keep in mind we are trying to predict these with 2 new Qbs in both offenses too.

 
What's the status of the offensive line? The fact that 2 linemen were lost and that the Eagles sold out vs. The run were the stated reason for last weeks disappointment.

Has that magically cleared up? I agree with Torian's upside this week, but there are a lot of questions as well.

 
sjax over torain but I think sjax is going to need a bunch of catches to outproduce him. But at least I know he'll get a ton of touches barring injury.

Started Torain as a flex in my dynasty... Ugh... I guess I can look on the bright side that he's helping me to get a higher draft pick next year. :thumbdown:

This combined with the Lynch 'injury' and the Graham injury makes me wanna :wall: :wall: :wall:

Un-freakin-believable.

I have 3 players on bye (Brady, Gonkowski, & F. Jackson), playing one of the worst teams in my league, & he started Hightower & I started Torain.

I'm looking to have a goose egg & he's going to get all the points with Hightower.

So pissed right now.

Never rely on a Shanahan running back. Even if you're desperate there's always running backs of comparable value on the waiver wire who aren't susceptible to Shananigans (e.g. instead of Torain you could have gone after Hardesty or Battle or many other names that were available a few weeks back)

Did he get injured on that play too?

I saw them flash to a player down on the sideline & had the tv on mute.

 
How the hell can this POS get out-scored by Lynch who doesn't even play. The last two weeks have shown me all I need to see with this situation. :rant:
