S-Jax IS playing on a gimpy crotch (1 Viewer)

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1663/steven-jackson

ESPN's Adam Schefter stated on SportsCenter that Steven Jackson (groin, questionable) remains a full-blown game-time decision Sunday at Soldier Field.

"They want to see how he looks in pre-game warmups before they make any final decision," said Schefter. The decision will go down to the wire. We'll know Jackson's official availability by noon ET today, so keep it locked on Rotoworld's Player News page for updates. Should Jackson be declared inactive, seventh-round rookie Daryl Richardson would get the start at Chicago. Sep 23 - 10:06 AM

I don't think that is what was said. This still needs time and is still a GTD.
I'm sure someone else can confirm, but she said a Rams source said they do not EXPECT him to play. Maybe I heard wrong but I thought that was exactly what she said.

#Rams Steven Jackson is a gametime decision, but close team source says "you can speculate" he won't go. 2 games in 11 days, aftr today

I can see Richardson having having a surprise, solid game against the Bears.

He won't be a bad flex option.

I hope they sit him too early in season to risk further damage.....and its such a tough matchup he wouldn't do wells anyway

Sit out and come back fresh next week

The thread title is misleading. Even is she said "Not expected to play" as you say, there's no official word that he's NOT playing.

Wording is everything.

Just changed it. sorry for any Kleenex this thread caused you to use this morning.
I don't even have SJax or his backup so you didn't cause me to use any Kleenex. I just don't think someone should be trying to break news, get it wrong, and let it be misleading.

don't get defensive. he's right. your thread title was misleading.
don't be defensive, he was just apologizing for being the cause of needless tree waste ;)

whether its official yet or not, I'd say most would be wise NOT to start S-Jax. And when a reporter says the team expects him NOT to go, I figured that was post worthy.

Nobody is going to run on the Bears today after 13 days of rest. And Stl Rams has a work in progress oline.
Yeah, as a DRich fan, this is not the game you want as his "coming out party".
Its not...but with a choice of him, Shonn Greene or Lance Moore or Torrey Smith at flex...I may role with Richardson.

If u can misdirect or time a run well against the bears u can gash them on the ground. The bears do can penetrate well but not that great on gap control/contain and their Lber core is a shell of itself. Richadson could end up with 80± rushing with a lot of stuffs/1yard/2yard gains b/c he could pop off a few long gainers b/c his speed

Just confirmed - Steven Jackson WILL play - after testing out groin on field - true gametime decision!

It's perfect scenario for Fisher to push SJax out the door quicker. He faces a tough Bears defense, will get bottled up so Fisher can then turn to dRich for a spark once the Rams are down by 2+TDs.

That's what I see anyways.

Or Jackson toughs it out like the warrior he is but does nothing due to his injury and Richardson spends most of the day on the sidelines watching him.I don't think either RB is a worthy start today.

Is this Fisher trying to motivate Jackson? Dude has mega talent but he's kinda soft at the GL. I know his team has sucked but Fisher brings a whole new way of doing it. Would Love to see SJax smash his way to a couple TD's this week.

I like your thinking, sir.:richardsowner:
I agree that neither are good starts but I am thinking 2 weeks down the road.

Ugh, I wish SJax was ruled out. I'm staying clear of Rams RB this week. Whoever you start, the other one will do better.
