Saints backfield is pretty beat up. They have struggled all year and injuries don't help them one bit.these guys wearing saints uniforms and pretending to play defense are absolutely killing me. how awful were those two touchdowns to the watch for people playing dez bryant today?? ouch.
Not a great season for Hartley but he's proven to be effective.'Mister CIA said:Terrible defensive back play. TD Dez.Also, Garrett Hartley is not an NFL caliber kicker.
Moose with the worst Christmas sweater ever! What's with the elf in the booth?
If I was management I would kick him to the curb. A lot of his makes are closer to the posts than dead center. Not a great season for Hartley but he's proven to be effective.'Mister CIA said:Terrible defensive back play. TD Dez.Also, Garrett Hartley is not an NFL caliber kicker.
A wrist injury would have nothing to do with his inability to get open. We may have seen the best of Jimmy Graham last year. I don't know if they are paying a lot more attention to him, or if the offense is just looking elsewhere, but he has been outplayed in the second half by Heath Miller, Bennett, Pitta, and Myers. That isn't including Hernandez and Witten. Last time Graham had more than 15 points? That would be week 10.IIRC, he's been playing through (a wrist?) injury virtually all season long.'togo said:After 1 quarter Graham 1 catch. What happened to Graham the 2nd half of this year???
Dropped a perfect uncontested pass 15 yards down the field.'togo said:After 1 quarter HALF Graham 1 catch. What happened to Graham the 2nd half of this year???
I'm catching chunks of the game here and there and it seems like jimmy isn't even on the field then NO gets into the RZ.A wrist injury would have nothing to do with his inability to get open. TE David Thomas gets the 3 yard TD catch. Thomas has been getting more red zone looks than Graham now.A wrist injury would have nothing to do with his inability to get open. The other ref changed the call (before the review) to saints recovery after discussing it with the other refs. Call on the field was Saints ball.I soooo didn't follow that ruling.Didn't they say the play stands as called? They called it Dallas recovery but then it was Saints ball on 2....need someone to explain please. I missed something.
Great hustle by Graham to recover it. Dallas was just very unfortunate on the bounce they didn't have anyone back there or it would have been an easy recover. Dallas would win the division as long as the Giants lost at least one game.If Dallas had won today, then they still could have won the division if the Giants went 2-0.Who wins div if New O wins this and dallas beats wash next week? Is this game meaningless for dallas?
Bring back the replacements!Surprised no Cowboys fans complaining about the advance of the fumble. It appears they should have had the ball back at the 20 yard line. Still better than an XP.
Thought you can't advance a fumble under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter?
ARTICLE 6: FUMBLE AFTER TWO-MINUTE WARNING
If a fumble by either team occurs after the two-minute warning:
A) The ball may be advanced by any opponent
B) The player who fumbled is the only player of his team who is permitted to recover and advance the ball.
C) If the recovery or catch is by a teammate of the player who fumbled, the ball is dead, and the spot of the next snap is the spot of the fumble, or the spot of the recovery if the spot of the recovery is behind the spot of the fumble.
That's oddMight just be me and I missed it, but the announcers and Perriera seemed to lead me down a different path. The other ref changed the call (before the review) to saints recovery after discussing it with the other refs. Yeah but every team has issues.Miles Austin has been off lately. Even his good games I swear he's out of sync. For the last ten? years, if Ware is on the sidelines the Cowboys don't have much of a pass rush. That's always been a bit much.Regardless, the Saints are a terrific offense and they kept up with them. So close, so close.Heartbreaking loss today. Absolutely heartbreaking. This team has really been fighting its butt off but they are just so overmatched on defense in the middle.
The announcers explained how they changed the call to Saints ball... but ya, for some reason Perriera didn't notice that and incorrectly thought they had awarded the ball to dallas. That's oddMight just be me and I missed it, but the announcers and Perriera seemed to lead me down a different path. The other ref changed the call (before the review) to saints recovery after discussing it with the other refs. Yeah, I thought the overtime rules used to be explained as though all the rules apply after the two minute warning. But I guess the new rule is that it acts as a 4th quarter in its entirety. I knew they said after the 2 minute warning to explain the automatic review but I guess that is now an exception to the 4th quarter timing rule.Thought you can't advance a fumble under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter?ARTICLE 6: FUMBLE AFTER TWO-MINUTE WARNING

OT is a new quarter. No reason to have last 2 minute rules. Where does the ref lineup? In the backfield or behind the LBs? I think only challenges are treated like under 2 mins. Can't think of a single reason to play a whole quarter with 2 minute rules.i dont know which rule is dumber1) Tuck rule2) OT is not "after the two minute warning"3) if a KR sees a kickoff rolling on the ground but not going OB he can step OB himself and reach back in play to touch the ball and the ball is ruled OB for a HUGE penalty on kicking teamsaw #2 (NO v DAL) and #3 (GB v TEN) today
Well apart from challenges, what else really is different under 2 minutes? The umpire location and the advancement of fumbles? And what is the reasoning for having the fumble rule under 2 minutes? B/c you don't want this situation to decide a game? It would appear they should extend those rules to OT.OT is a new quarter. No reason to have last 2 minute rules. Where does the ref lineup? Iirc, the no advancing rule is to avoid a fumbleroosky type scenario, not because they don't want a forward fumble to decide the game. Just not a deliberate fumble. Why wouldn't a regular play that happens all the time be removed from the game? Since time isn't extremely short (ie no real worries the other team would get the ball back with time) in OT, no reason to eliminate a great defensive play from the game. There's also out of bounds stopping the clock. I was asking about the ump position because that would be an indicator of how much like "under two minutes" they consider the OT period to be.Well apart from challenges, what else really is different under 2 minutes?
