With NO and CHI being the only two teams in playoff contention that have nothing to play for, it's time to find out what the coaches are saying about playing their starters. Can any of you NO homers give us an update on the playing status for the likes of Brees, Bush, McAllister and co? Also, is there a good site that one could go to, to find such info? Thanks

A couple of links for you:Sean Payton's radio show tonight at 630p (central) here: WWL.com

or

the Times-Pic online here: nola.com

Anyone else have any insight on thhis situation? All I've been able to find is that Peyton has made up his mind what he is going to do, but has not told anyone yet.

Thanks

Not to give out any $$$ info for free but let's face it, it's Week 17 so I don't think anyone will mind much.

FBG Projections for this week have Bush getting his usual 10 carries and 4 receptions, while McAllister is only projected to have 10 carries. Do they know something we don't? Is it possible for Peyton to rest McAllister and play Bush most of the game? This could be a $1,500.00 question for me, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'd be surprised if Deuce and Bush combine for more than 10 carries this week. With Stecker likely out this week, expect to see alot of Jamaal Branch.

While Peyton is keeping his plans for this Sunday quite, I think the signing of RB Jamaal Branch from the practice squad speaks volumes. I know Stecker is banged up, but I can't see him using Bush or McAllister past the 2nd quarter.

Saints Sign RB Branch Off Practice Squad

Utica Observer-Dispatch - [Full Article]

The New Orleans Saints announced on Friday that they have signed running back Jamaal Branch off their practice squad to the 53-man roster. "It’s the NFL," said Branch. "This is the real deal right here."

I've found nothing new and it looks like Peyton will keep his intentions to himself until gametime. I don't understand why he would do so, there is absolutely nothing to gain or lose from this game. If he is really keeping his players in the dark about how much they will be playing, I can only see that as being a distraction for them. Does he think he's going to trick them into being more prepared for a game over 2 weeks away because he kept them thinking they were playing the full game this week? I really don't see the reasoning here.

Plus, doesn't he know some of us have league championships riding on who we start this week from his team? Come on man just spill it already.

Is Bush a better start than Boldin or Ward? :fishing:
I wouldn't start any of the Saints' key guys today. It sounds like they're only going to play a little bit and then get yanked. That's way too unreliable over someone who is guaranteed to be on the field the entire game (barring injury of course). Just my two cents.

McAllister and Stecker OUT, What does this mean for Bush?
For what its worth!!! NBC sports says Fred McAffee will be the primary running back and receive the bulk of the workload. Brees will be on the sideline after a couple of series and Jamie Martin will take over. This was on there update this morning...

Anyone else hear news like this? I have to decide between Bush and Chester Taylor today!

Personally, I just put in Henry for Bush. I'd play Taylor over Bush too, if I had him. Just my opinion though.
