Meachem is invisible. He hasn't caught a pass, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't even been on the field. Jamie Martin is in at QB and boy is he stinking it up.
Patten and Copper have both looked pretty good, along with the entire Saints secondary. Charles Grant looked stud-like.
EDIT: less than a minute later, Martin fumbles AGAIN.....for the third time.

Couldn't tell you. Lance Moore seems to be getting all the reps now and looks pretty good.

They say they are holding him out as a "Precaution" The just want to see how the "rest" of the WRs work out.

Seriously, this is ridiculous. If not for Jamie Martin the Saints would be winning this game by 30 points.

Copper looked excellent on the opening drive and was looked at often by Brees. Broke tackles, got good seperation and ran routes perfectly- to the point that Brees was hitting him in stride. Excellent defensive play by Landon Johnson prevented yet another Brees-Copper hookup.
Deuce looked sharp as well, running hard between the tackles and picking up defenders much better than I remembered him doing. Bush also was very active as a receiver underneath, drawing away coverages when he wasn't targeted. As a runner, he looked a bit tentative at times but given his talent I wouldn't worry. There was one play on Martin's opening drive where Bush broke off his route and diagnosed there was no weakside help for 20ish yards. Used his speed to gain seperation coming back towards the QB and if not for an abominable ball thrown by Martin, it would have gone for an easy 6. Bush was really pissed at Martin for that.
I thought the Saints' line was doing an excellent job of opening holes, especially on the scoring play, and doing an even better job of pass protecting.

Palmer looked a little off, not bad but just not quite there. Pass protection seems pretty decent. Run game not there as the Saints have stuffed it up pretty good.Bengals defense has looked like swiss cheese. Although they have gotten some hits on Martin, it's more because he is not getting rid of the ball.

Meachem did come in the game VERY late. One pass was thrown his way (or at least, in his general direction).

I thought the Bengals running game looked okay while Rudi was in there. They did stink it up with Watson and Wilson though.Pretty much agree with everything else though.

Martin is a terrible QB. It surprises me a bit that a team that considers itself a title contender hasn't tried harder to upgrade their backup QB. It could be a disaster if Brees were to go down.
Then again, maybe the coaches see something we don't, and maybe he has picked up a system that would be difficult to learn in a pinch.
I'd have to think the Saints could do better here. If not for past history, even Aaron Brooks would seemingly be an upgrade.
