I'm leaving construction to head into sales (building materials). Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for some good reading material on any and all things sales.
This search function not working nonsense has got to be fixed!
It's good to read books on sales, but it is a non-stop learning process. Just reading a book or two will not prepare you for a career in sales. You will need to continue to educate yourself on the subject(and various related subjects) forever.
With that in mind, the following is a good start:
How to Master the Art of Selling by Tom Hopkins
The Sales Bible by Jeff Gitomer
Selling the Invisible by Harry Beckwith
How to become a rainmaker by Jeffrey Fox
The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Secrets of Closing the Sale by Zig Zigler
Influence by Robert Cialdini
That list is just the tip of the iceberg, but a good start.
The One Minute Salesperson very short read and not a new text, but very worthwhile. I'm not in sales but I read this every 6 months or so. (Even tho I'm not in sales, everything I do sells me and my services.)
