Sam Bradford (1 Viewer)

I'm from Oklahoma, but I never let my homerism get in the way. Anyway, unless this kid is playing way over his head, & I don't believe he is, Sam Bradford looks as if he's going to be the next great college QB. Bradford has all the tools, but the thing that impresses me most is his uncanny accuracy.

Anybody checking this guy out?

:homer:

Sick accuracy - seems very composed and sharp mentally. Puts the ball into small windows and gives the great athletes they have at WR in Oklahoma the ball in stride so they can do damage after the catch. Oklahoma is a legit nat'l title contender if he keeps playing like this.

Yes. Bradford looks good this month. However, things often change a great deal from now to later. The freshman has three or four NCAA seasons ahead of him, plus the possibility of being NFL drafted.

At worst, he's fun to watch and root for. As is that (forgive me for even mentioning it) Longhorn youngster - Colt McCoy.

-- Yikes! As I was typing, Bradford just tossed his 4th TD of the day against a respectible Hurrican team.

-- Make it five TD passes now.

O_OThat was a ridiculous performance by him. Wins of 79 and 44 in consecutive weeks, and he was the Catalyst there... he's only 19 too.

One guy I'm looking at this draft is Chase Daniels. He was awesome last year, and seems like he could be a great QB in the NFL. His only drawback is that he's 6'0", but that hasn't been a problem for him in college.

Your neighbors in Austin should get used to seeing this kid doing that sort of thing.

I dont think there will be any doubt who the elite team is in the Big 12 by 8 or 9 PM Central. I honestly expect TCU to come in here and win tonight.

OU#1 baby!!! All Bradford has to do now is beat Texas and he'll be the toast of the state!

If you want to hype somebody from OU for NFL fantasy purposes....try Malcolm Kelly. This guy is the real deal.

Looks like the TE Gresham is the real deal too, but he's a stinkin TE!

WR Kelly and the TE Grisham are going to be nice players at the next level.

Bradford reminds me a lot of Heupel and White. Deadly accurate but not a big enough arm for the NFL imo. He sure looks good at the college level though.

Edit to add - Suck it, Canes - Been waiting to say it for 20 years.

DittoWelcome to the latest revision of OU football Miami boys! Don't cry, you only got owned by a top 5 team! Good luck against those loser Seminoles! Lookout for GT!

What's the word on Blake? If he's playing, I agree TCU will take this one. If not, well, Blake is their best player and Texas catches a huge break. Also, my boy Aaron Brown might finally start getting some deserved praise after this one.

My thoughts exactly. If he had a stronger arm, or somehow can develop one, he will make it. But not at his current arm strength.Kelly and Grisham will do well in the NFL.BTW...I hate OU but dang were they impressive today.

:) Grisham and Kelly look GOOD! I would have liked to see Bradford complete some difficult "NFL" type passes. The majority of his passes were shorter passes. I do realise that was probably the game plan. He did show great accuracy.

Was at lunch in Johnny's New York Style Pizza with OU/Miami on the big screen this afternoon - was very impressed with Bradford's throws - enough loft to clear the DBs but still hitting the WRs in the numbers on long passes - his 3rd TD pass to Malcolm Kelly was absolutely beautiful, IMO (the 30-yarder). He also had nice velocity when he had to throw hard-and-fast. Looked like a man among boys vs. the Miami DBs, from the portions of the game I saw while at lunch. 19/25 for 205 yards, 5 TDs and 0 interceptions when it was all said and done WOW.Edit to add: as a born-and-bred Nebraska Cornhusker fan, it pained me to write the above about a Sooner! :D :lmao: I remember the old Osborne-Switzer days when the streets of my home town would literally become empty while everyone watched OU/NE duke it out...

That is awesome. Bloom, I am with you about TCU tonight. I do not think the average to casual CF fan...guys posting here today do not fall into that category... has an idea of what TCU is rolling out/returning on defense. Texas is not going to out run what TCU puts on the field at least not on that side of the ball.

I would love to see the upset...crossing fingers...tonight. At a minimum Texas leaves that game with more than a few knots and bruises.

Blake practiced a couple of days this week, but still no definitive word from these parts. BTW, deep underground rumors have it that Blake's issues were "substance related," and that's why the wagons have been circled tightly at TCU. I am about six persons removed from the source, so this is very shaky, barely this side of pure speculation.Edit: Balke is in th game against Texas. At the moment (just after the half), I don't recall him doing anything interesting.
