Sanchez vs Fitzpatrick (1 Viewer)

Fitzpatrick has 7 TD's this year, to Sanchez's 4, and seems to me like the better fantasy play for the foreseeable future. But the current FBG Top 250 has Sanchez ranked several slots higher than Fitz. I know that the Top 250 is not gospel, and I should follow my own instincts, but I haven't really seen these two guys play this year and am curious about what other owners think of these two QB's.

Would anyone here rather have Sanchez than Fitzpatrick on his roster?

Apologies if this should be in the assistant coach forum.

One possible reason is Fitz started strong last year but faded down the stretch. He has to prove he's a cold weather QB to change the perception.

I like the Buffalo offense a lot, but every one of their skill position players is underrated due to people equating history with perception. There is always a lag to reality in FF. Recognize early and you have a competitive advantage. Wait for the consensus, and you're running with the pack.

But honestly, I can't think of many QBs I would rank ahead of behind Sanchez. I think he has a chance at being a competent game managers if he ever stops throwing pick sixes, but I don't see him developing into a Rogers-Stafford playmaker type. Not even after the ground and pound era ends. I just don't think he makes enough good reads or has the instincts to get to that next level.

Thanks Bobby, it sounds like we're on the same page. I would add that I think the Jets' ground-and-pound plans don't seem to be working out as well this year, but their D is still top-notch, so they can still grind out wins. Buffalo, on the other hand, is going to be in a lot of shootouts this year, including this week vs. New England, so I think Fitzpatrick is in position to put up many more points than Sanchez...
