I got the kids an above ground pool. I'm putting it up tomorrow. It has a sand filter and I have no experience with sand filters. Any advice, jokes or suggestions are welcome.

I was hoping for a pool app that blocks YouTube ads.  Blocking Spam isn't a bad idea either,  I can't swim after eating a can of spam.

Use #20 silica or filter sand in it. Not playground or other random sand.

suggestion, since it’s above ground, make sure you purchase a large supply of tank t’s, since you are going redneck, work on the tan.  get a ladder so people can get in.  make sure the ground isn’t level, creates a better and more challenging deep end.  hire local graffiti artist to tag the exterior.  post a sign to let all the wildlife know their hours of usage.  do not get a permit from your town.
