Santa Clarita Diet - New Netflix Series (1 Viewer)

I watched the first episode (only watched the whole episode because I was on a plane and had nothing else to watch)...I instantly delete the rest of the season that I had downloaded

As I posted in the Netflix thread..

This show is not going to have many people thinking  "It was an OK show".. you'll either enjoy it a lot, or hate it.

I personally found myself :lmao: multiple times during almost each episode and am looking forward to season 2.

I'm with you, it's pretty funny. Surprised to see the overwhelming negative reaction, maybe people should give it a couple more episodes. The kid next door is an interesting character.

I normally don't care for "quirky" shows/movies.. But once I got past the  puking moment I really found it to be an enjoyable 10 episode ride.
that was the literally the moment I turned it off.  It was just cartoonish in the way it was done, and I didn't want to sit through a show that was loaded with that kind of "humor"

I'm not going to rush back to watch it, but maybe I will try to start past that point and see if I like how it progresses based on your comment.  I do not like Drew Berrymore to begin with, but the premise seemed like it could be kinda fun, and Olyphant is usually good.

As I was watching it my thought was "well, it's only a 30 minute show so might as well finish this episode"... and well, by the end it had drawn me in to watching episode 2 and glad it did..

I think what I liked most about it was that all of the actor's play a part that "matter"... In many shows, the daughter and the neighbors would be just "there" and not adding much. But they each have parts in the show that add to the story which is a rarity now days

funny thing is I havent seen any of these shows. My man crush is all about his movies. Now that I have Amazon Prime I can watch Justified!
You've never seen Deadwood?  Pls check that out

Almost done the series...I like it!

Definitely some funny moments and Olyphant/Barrymore play off each other well.

Theyou announced in late March that this will return for a second season.

Great second season so far...about halfway done. I think they are doing a fine job of keeping the story moving and evolving.

I admit when she first gets sick I considered bailing as it was a bit much.. But glad I stuck with it as not many shows lately can make me literally  like this one can.
