Steelers believe Defensive-Player-of-the-Year candidate T.J. Watt suffered a sprained MCL vs. the Ravens pending further testing, per source. Watt wanted to go back into the game with the injury, but the Steelers wouldn’t allow it

The best part is the Steelers basically knock out either the Texans or the colts
Yep, the teams already in the playoffs in the AFC are thrilled the Steelers are winning. Especially if Buffalo loses to Miami tomorrow.

I think of the teams on the bubble, the Bills and Texans are the teams somebody like KC would least want to draw. Steelers or especially Colts would be ideal.
Honestly? I think the Texans have the best chance to beat Miami or KC.
I think the Texans are one of the 5 best teams in the AFC, they just had a rough stretch where all of Stroud, Dell, and Collins got hurt.

Seems like confusion on the Watt injury. Will have to wait and see.

I hope he is ok. Silver lining is , that is one of their deepest positions.

A complete tear & a strain sound worlds apart. Guess we won't know until tomorrow
Grade 3 sprain usually means full ruptured

A Grade III sprain will have a complete rupture of the ligament, gross instability, swelling, and severe pain followed by a dull ache. The knee will be most painful to try and fully bend and fully extend. A position somewhere in between, with the knee slightly bent, will feel most comfortable

Pittsburgh is now 10-7

-Miami went 10-7 in 2020 and missed the Playoffs
Mason Rudolph is going to be on an NFL roster for years, ability to win a game or two in relief, push his team possibly into the Playoffs.
18/20 doesn't tell the story as he hit a lot of ultra short targets but good for Mason
Clowney was out there hooting and hollering for 0.75 mill. Fair enough. But in these past three weeks, Rudolph went from a project to a viable backup (if not starting) QB for years if he stays healthy. Glad he got his shot and made the most of it. I was a serious doubter. Looks like a gamer now and seems like a legit nice guy.

If you take away the 71 yard TD, he was 17/19 for 81 yards.
If Diontae didn’t slow down on his incompletion, Mason could have been 19/20 for 200+ and 2 TD.

Pretty crazy in conditions like that on the road, Rudy set a Steelers record for completion percentage.

I'll be honest. I'm still a doubter. He seems like a game manager at best. Backup material, and not necessarily viable. The receivers did the heavy lifting on his long TDs, they protect him with high-percentage passes, and they don't seem to trust him around the goal line.

I know it sounds like I'm a hater, but I'm not. I'm a doubter. Good for him. I think he was fading out of the league before this last run, and I agree it's revitalized his career. He's guaranteed himself a paycheck for a few years. I'm just not sure he beats the Bengals with Joe Burrow (game script changes with three interceptions), and I'm quite sure he doesn't beat the Ravens if the game mattered to them. But he's done more than they had any right to expect.

Nobody is saying he’s a top 15 QB or anything but he’s currently playing like the best QB on the team. But I know that’s a low bar.

It’s not that crazy. Because of who the QB was and what the conditions were, almost all pass plays were short and high-percentage.

Rudolph didn’t have a great game in terms of big plays but not many QBs would have in those conditions. QB has not been the problem for the Steelers the past 3 weeks. Can’t say the same about the rest of the season.
