Let me start by saying I don't have Curtis on my squad and am not competing with the person who has him, I just think he's getting screwed.
Our league has been in existence for 18 years, pretty much all the same guys. We have a cumulative scoring system and then guy at the end of the year who wins takes home $4,000 (not chump change).
So the guy winning this year has Curtis and started him, he was awarded the points for the fumble recovery in the endzone and the guy who is in 2nd objected because statistacly it was ruled a defensive TD. And because this issue isn't outline in our rules he wanted the points taken away. Now the guy in 2nd is like 35 points back with 1 week to go and has a long shot of catching the leader but he hasn't given up hope. He brought this issue to the attention of the commish (that it;s not outline in our rules) and the commish took the points away from the leader.
My question to you is, do you think Curtis should be awarded points for that TD? In your league was the person who owned him given the points for that TD?
My stance is that when an offensive player scores he should be given credit for the score. If Favre fumbles and Grant picks it up and scores then Grant should be given a TD. I suggested that this issue be put to a vote right now but the commish seems to think that we can't vote on stuff during the season, and the guy in 2nd doesn't want this to happen (vote now).
What would you do, or what have you done to resolve an issue like this?
