AP reports the New Orleans Saints came to terms Monday with free agent LB Scott Fujita, a linebacker with four years in the NFL.

too small and has some speed ..... wlb IMO
Maybe he's considered small when standing next to Nate Newton, otherwise he's a big 'backer (6'5 250).Not real flashy, although he did break out in KC a few years back, but the best way to describe his game may be "adequate".

fujita did have one big year, but that seems to be an exception...

he has some interesting variables... he has a great vertical, & decent 40 times in his combine... but it hasn't translated to on field production... KC let him go when they got DJ at SLB... but he seemed to miss a lot of tackles from lack of speed when i saw him his last season...

which is too bad, because his coaches rave about his work ethic, preparation & coachability... the type of player you like to see succeed... NO has been a LB graveyard in haslett era, but it is a new coaching staff...

SLB typically isn't a barnburner of an IDP position from scoring standpoint... probably not a player to get excited about except in deeper leagues, & even then you hope he is your LB4 or depth...

Shawn, You think he will reside at starting SLB? I remember him as a guy with some speed but not what I would have considered strong to handle the big TE's coming out and blocking. G

Yes, I think he sticks at SLB. He appears to be a good all-around linebacker, but not exceptionally good in any one area.
