Ahman Green is averaging less than 2.0 ypc. Time to drop him down your draft boards and move Davenport up. This has RBBC written all over it.
I know you're being sarcastic, but some of our readers may not catch on as quickly as I do. (My sarcasm detector is truly superhuman. :football: ) I'd therefore ask people to refrain from posting anything that could be misleading. TIA.

What are you two on about? HD, High Disolution?
No. High definition. Go into Circuit City and see a demo. You'll end up buying one.
Much Obliged
No problem. I just checked out the new 50" Pioneer Elite Plasma TV at Tweeter. UN-BEEEE-LEEEEVE-ABLE!

When I saw it, I began to regret that I just had to be one of the first people with a HDTV. I bought a top-of-the-line 65" Mitsubishi Diamond HDTV when they were still relatively new about six years ago. Cost damn near as much as that Tweeter plasma. It gives a beautiful picture and is still in immaculate condition, but there is no picture quite like plasma.

Plus my Mits. takes up quite a bit of room. All the new stuff is space-saving flat screens.

:(

Does anyone else realize how much Joe Theisman sucks?

Shout out to my man Matt Hasselbeck. Graduated from my high school, Xaverian Brothers.

M.T. If anyone actually took that post seriously, they don't DESERVE to have Ahman.

Hasselbeck says Seahawks are FF STARS! Is our hobby getting hot or what?
So hot that we'll all get rich off of guppies for years to come...
Actually, I meant obsession -- a healthy obsession, really, not at all a mania... No, not a mania. Definitely just a healthy obsession.I'm sure everyone in the USA is watching as many quarters of NFL pre-season action on the NFL Network as possible. GB the NFL Network.Nice run by #32 Carter there, BTW.

Gotta hand it to Packer fans..... first preseason game, the starters are already out, and Lambeau is damn near full. They are probably the best fans in the NFL.Then again, what is there to do in Green Bay besides eat cheese and go ice fishing?

Couch's "Sore Arm" -- a short Study in the Mysterious MaladyFWIW, an interesting article probing the problem that Couch has been experiencing with his throwing arm... Any Cleveland fans that can add to the linked author's "epidemiology" of Couch's bum throwing arm?
Couch has had Tendinitis is his throwing arm for as long as I can remember. Usually, (until he was involved in his QB controversy last year) he missed half the practices because of his sore arm. Tim Couch could have been a great QB, but Chris Palmer ruined him by throwing him in the first with no weapons the second game of the Browns first season back. This is the best thing for Couch, sit the bench 2 years, and pretend your a rookie again. Get rid of those bad habits you've picked up. I think its to late, but we will see. By the way, that 8 yard pass on 3rd and 9, you will be seeing a lot of that from Couch. The most frustrating thing is the 2 yard passes on 3rd and 3 and the 1 yard passes on 4th and 2

Explained to my wife that I have to wtach this game because I'll probably be deciding between Green and Alexander at pick 5 in a league. She's sharp enough to notice that neither of them are playing anymore. Now I'm trying the "Have to to watch to see if Summerall will actually die on-air". I'll let you know if it works.

Drink Beer and alot of it.

Alexander, MoMo and Carter as running backs is pure luxury. They are looking solid, Alexander might just move on next year, creating a new Green for the Hawks :wall:

I've had one of these for almost a year now.Sony Wega

The plasma sets are the absolute best you can get, but for the money, the Sony Wegas are worth looking at. Compare the Wegas with the plasmas at the store and the only real difference you will notice is the price tag (unless you are planning on hanging it on the wall). The LCD screens are still pretty light; the 50 inch set only weighs about 80 pounds.

Couch isn't quiiiite ready to fill in for Favre just yet...Omar Nazel uis making some noice from the second string.

They sometimes walk to Canada.

Having grown up in Green Bay, I can tell you there's quite a bit of beer to drink. ;)

It perplexed me why the Packers would pick up Tim Couch, a 27? year old quarterback to be groomed to be the heir to Favre. By the time Favre retires, Couch will be what 29-30 by the time Favre retires.WHAT!! Gallery hurt!

If anyone knows who did that Loverboy cover that they played coming back from the half, could you please let me know? :D

I was just going to ask the same thing, that was a good cover from what I heard.

If she was REALLY sharp she would have said that you don't have to watch the game to know that Ahman Green is the better fantasy RB.

Back to the game. I now saw a ball thrown off a defender's raised arm described as being thrown right into his chest and a nice tackle described as a "picture tackle".:wall:Can't we just get some random FBGs in the booth instead?

Sorry, I couldn't find a sarcasm emoticon, but I didn't think anyone would take it seriously. I would have figured a game thread would be more relaxed than a hard-core fantasy advice thread -- just a bunch of guys sitting around watching the game.

Yeah, thank goodness she isn't that bright about football. How do guys whose wives know football really well ever lie to them? That must suck.

Many guys say it's their dream to marry a woman who knows a lot about football. But the guy who's really thinking things through realizes it's a mixed blessing.Re: Kolber, I've noticed over the years a real cult of Suzy-worship. Seems like a lot of guys think she's hot. I don't get it. She's too tomboy-ish for me. She does have spunk, though. Is that it? Guys see spunk and they make certain assumptions?...

Couch isn't quite ready to fill in for Taco Wallace just yet....

Guerrero :X - so overrated it's sad
SHUT UP!You'd better be talking about her journalistic skills. I remember back when Guerrero was on "The Best $^%& Sports Show Period" and she'd wear short skirts and show off her legs.

Anybody have any idea where Clarence Farmer is tonight? I thought the whole idea of the preseason is to evaluate young players later in the game. Farmer can't even get in for a few carries?

The Seahawks are busy making sure that Kerry Carter is in fact mediocre. Maybe they'll get to Farmer eventually, but maybe not.

Suzy Kolber.Discuss.
Very hot, IMHO.
Again, I'm going to ask people not to post anything misleading for fear that somebody takes it seriously.Kolber is not hot. Compared to Melissa Stark, she's rather ordinary.
Well, sure compared to Stark. But she is filet mignon next to Guerrero's dog chow.
Man, what kind of world do you live in where Lisa Guerrero is "dog chow"???
One with a Green sky and Blue grass... :P I truly think she is very overrated and not that hot. I'd take Kolber over her in a second. JMHO.

For those following this random rolling thread, thought I should let you know that I plan on writing up a report of this game. Anyone got some specific input that they think is significant from this game?
