I actually had a really brief flash of hoping the sprinkler head would pop up again, just for the absolute hilarity of it.
Over-legislation is killing this brand. I might go exclusively to college ball next year. At least they do ok with the review process.Seattle D looking marginal today.I meant, they should've buzzed it down and made the ref do an official review. That's what the replay booth is supposed to do when it's close. I didn't think the Thomas TD was even close to needing to be reviewed, but they did. The Bush TD was a lot less clear but it wasn't reviewed. All TD's are automatically reviewed; that's somewhat the point. There is, at this point within the current system, a rush to get a call rather than a commitment to get the right call. You see questionable reviews every week. This simply shouldn't happen.I was surprised they didn't review it. It did look like he lost possession of it before he passed the cone. Dunno if it was as blatantly obvious as needed to overturn, but that most likely should've been a touchback. I was even more surprised that the Seattle coaching staff wasn't all over the refs for it so I kind of assumed it wasn't what I thought I saw.Just got in to watch the game and was catching up using he DVR. On that Bush TD run Earl Thomas hits the ball when Reggie is at the 1 & a half yard line. The ball clearly becomes dislodged from Reggie's left hand immediately and begins moving in his right hand prior to crossing the goal line. By the time he hits the ground the ball is no longer in his possession. Obvious question is why wouldn't that be a fumble; but to me the bigger issue is how the whole process of instant replay has become less about getting the call right per the rules and more about verifying the call on the field. This should probably be in one of the instant replay threads, but the instant review process, and replay in general, needs to be retooled (if not completely scrapped).
Non factor for a while. He is definitely on the field, had a long target on the scoring drive that went incompleteIs Hartline playing today?
Both lines are marginal. The Ol has zero push and the DL needs to actually get to Tannehill. They've been very close but they haven't gotten there and that's left the secondary exposed.Major surprise of the game: no personal fouls on Incogneto. He was always good for a 1st down or two against the Hawks when he was with the Rams.Over-legislation is killing this brand. I might go exclusively to college ball next year. That's Bevell all the way.Oof. Terrible decision by Wilson. Seems like they got too conservative and now three straight negative plays. Carroll's playcalling at times lacks for smartness.
They trust Wilson in his own endzone but then take it out of his hands when it's time to win the game and Lynch isn't getting it done. Amazing. That's Bevell all the way.Oof. Reverting back to early season coddling of a QB that hit 16 passes in a row at one point. The Seahawks coaches don't get out-schemed so much as they just stop scheming. Bad, bad loss. They trust Wilson in his own endzone but then take it out of his hands when it's time to win the game and Lynch isn't getting it done. Amazing. That's Bevell all the way.Oof. drives me nuts and it cost the Hawks another game today.Oof. Terrible decision by Wilson. Seems like they got too conservative and now three straight negative plays. Carroll's playcalling at times lacks for smartness.
