WR D. Jackson To Participate In 25 Plays?

Gregg Bell, Associated Press - [Full Article]

WR Darrell Jackson has returned to practice and has look good doing so. He may even start on Sunday. "We'll have to see how he feels," Holmgren said. "He's had a good week of practice. As far as he tells me, he's feeling good... but I would stick with my original idea of, he's not going to play the whole game." Holmgren guessed Jackson would participate in 25 plays Sunday which is roughly half an offense's normal output.

with 25 plays being it, he becomes a 4th wr. but is that true? didnt holmgren say that about djax last yr and he ended up playing more? can anyone confirm?

I'm not sure but I may have to bench him this week, just in case.

Yep."Last season, when he was scheduled to play sparingly in his first game back after missing 10 weeks, Jackson caught six passes for 72 yards and a TD against the Tennessee Titans."

And just to add to that, I think that Jackson is far healthier now than he was last year when he faced Tennessee late in the year.

I'm expecting a TD from him today.

He is their best WR and he practiced without setback all week. I think he will start and produce.

I think he may be limited in that Seattle will put Detroit away early and then they can rest DJax.

Going back and forth on this one. I just saw that the Det vs Sea game is broadcasting at 1:00 here...so I'll probably play him over A. Bryant. I like watching my guys. And I'm just not sold on Bryant (well, more like A.Smith)

I think DJax plays well, I'm just hoping Det keeps it close. Because if it's a blowout, I'm guessing he sits in the 2nd half.

honestly, too many unknowns this week in sea. the only safe start is hassell & alex. i would say djax is still the #1 start, but it is questionable. i am starting holt, bryant and c.henry over djax this week.

Burleson is the safer start there. Even if DJax does start, he'll be the one attracting double teams.
I've been telling folks all preseason that Engram will see more targets than Burleson. I'll be posting a public apology if this isn't true at the end of week 3.

Shick!- since you have been updating this topic regularly, would you start Jackson (I am leaning towards going with Williamson)

I have Jackson in several leagues. I'm not starting him in any of them. However, I'm starting Engram in one league. This is certainly a risky situation. Have to go with your gut on this one. The only great starts from Seattle this week are Alexander and Hasselbeck. All this said, I really really really want Engram to have a great game. I've been sharing my opinion on him all preseason so I'm obviously biased.

I am starting Engram since I figured Seattle will be up big early and there is no way D Jax will see the 2nd half. No point to risk further injury to D Jax if they have a lead since they will need him for the season and not just one game. Of course I am starting Engram b/c Steve Smith is out and Mason has an awful mathup.

So overall, can anyone who watched the game tell me how D-Jax looked? Was he explosive at all, or did he looked like the knee was hindering him?

TIA

He came half a yard short of getting a TD and he made a nice run after the catch when he completely reversed field for a nice gain. The reason he didn't put up better numbers today is because Hasselbeck had no time to throw the ball.
