I kept thinking how much he/they must have been loving not being in the limelight. In other times, you'd at least have the public getting way more details and knowledge of what a scumbag he really is. Like constantly. Getting off light you just figured would happen but also getting so many details cloaked or overshadowed by wars and politics was also a nice parting gift. It's maddening.

While it's a common refrain these days and I do think there's a shred of truth to it since wealthy people can afford better lawyers and that does matter but I also think the strength of the case/the jury matters a lot too.

I have followed the case and just always felt the RICO charge was overly ambitious and never felt enough compelling evidence was provided. Not really close.

I don't know what a normal charge for prostitution is but that seems like the lesser of his evils. The sex trafficing, drugs and assualt seem way worse and he wasn't even charged for 2/3 of those. I agree that you maybe don't thrown the guy into jail for life but a good 20 years seems like it would have been better had he been charged correctly and the jury doesn't let him off.

Considering many thought he was going to go free, I'm happy with the result. Booking speaking engagements before the verdict was a bad move. I never wish harm on others but I wouldn't be upset if things happened to him in prison.

I am all for redemption but what he did to those women should be a 10 year sentence minimum
