Altough I can't disagree with him, I am suprised to hear a ref saying there are situations where it is ok to retaliate on the field. If someone throws a punch at you or takes a cheap shot that threatens your health you cannot retaliate, if they spit on you you can. What if they insult your mother? Is that an ok situation to punch someone or not? I am not upset that he didn't flag him for throwing a punch, I just think it is a little strange.
