Seattle LB's (1 Viewer)

Am I the only one who thinks Julian Peterson's trade will open up room for a lot of big plays among the LB's? Aaron Curry isn't a big blitzer, but he's taking over Peterson's old position that allowed Julian to rack up 24.5 sacks in 3 seasons. On the other hand before Peterson joined Seattle, Leroy Hill had 7.5 sacks as a rookie. I think he's much more adept a pass rusher/blitzer than Curry. Is it possible Curry pushes 10 sacks? I've seen projections of more of the same from Hill and I am wondering why. I personally will be targeting Hill late, especially in my big play league. The other idea is perhaps seeing Tatupu take on more of a role in the pass rush. In 2005 (again, pre Peterson) Tatupu had his career high with 4.5 sacks. Perhaps Curry will dent into Tatupu's tackle numbers, but Tatupu will see an uptick in big plays?

I think Tatupu's numbers might go up slightly, but the move away from a read-and-react run fit will probably be offset by the competition around him and the potential of significant Tampa-2 snaps. I'm with you on Hill; if there's anything to this 3-3-5 nickel package that's rumored and we see some Tampa-2 snaps in the preseason, Hill is seriously undervalued right now.
