KIRKLAND -- Marcus Tubbs will miss the 2007 season after the Seahawks defensive tackle tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Thursday night.

The Seahawks will have no official word Friday regarding Tubbs, who was injured in the first quarter of the preseason finale against the Oakland Raiders at Qwest Field. But sources indicated that Tubbs is due to have season-ending surgery to repair the damaged ligament.

The rush yards per game without Tubbs last year was a disgusting 65 yards!! Mebane has looked great and I think will do well but this seriously limits the depth at the position. A position that has been largely ignored in the draft. Hopefully there will be a big body in all the cuts, just to get another 300 pounder on the roster. Bad news for a good kid.
